Keane has had an incredible career... has carried MAN UNITED through thick and thin for overe a decade... he won many trophies and IMO is up there with the all time legends. Good luck to him..

There is no such thing as loyality anymore
Yes, there is. Keane and Scholes are still playing at United specifically because of loyalty. They both could have moved abroad for big contracts earlier in their careers and while neither of them is playing at the level a club like Man Utd needs any more, they've played recently because their loyalty has been returned.

Keane's position was barely tenable after his last outburst. He's an injury-plagued player who the team uses as a crutch even though he can't do that any more. It's good for the team for him to leave. Keane himself insisted that that midfield needed refreshing. He always did lead by example.

i dont mind if Juve sign him for the back up of vieira and emerson in central midfield because giannicheda and blasi doesnt have the influence like Keane does..... even though I dont really like Keane as a person but I like him as a leader and a footballer as he sets good examples for the youngsters.... but not his hot tempered behaviour!! It is real sad to see him leave but we are Juventinos and Juventinis... so... Keane should come to Juve for half a season as back up.... That would be great

Juventus enter fray as Keane sits down to ponder offers from home and abroad

    The Guardian

Roy Keane will this morning sit down with his advisors to discuss the offers of employment from the continent, as well as Scotland and England, that have come in since the midfielder parted company with Manchester United on Friday. The most intriguing of these comes from Juventus but there has also been interest from a prominent club in Spain.
As yet there has been no official approach from the Italian champions, who are five points clear at the top of Serie A, for Keane but there has already been contact and part of Keane's assessments this morning will focus on the concrete nature of many of the proposals. Juve have Patrick Vieira in their midfield already, and Emerson, but Keane's camp have been encouraged by the noises they have heard via a third party.

Juve's interest may not yet be as long standing or as solid as Celtic's but the thought of a final hurrah in Serie A is known to be tempting the 34-year-old.
Keane would be able to join Juventus immediately having become a free agent when his contract at Old Trafford was paid up but there is some confusion as to his status within England.

Yesterday an FA official said that the Irishman would not be able to join another Premiership club until January 1, but it is believed that Keane's representative Michael Kennedy, a solicitor, does not share that view.

Kennedy is thought to believe that Keane could play for another English club this weekend and will seek clarification this morning. Of the many Premiership clubs that have contacted Keane, Middlesbrough are understood to have been the first and most persistent.

Steve McClaren, who worked with Keane when he was at Old Trafford, refused to comment on the subject after Boro's win over Fulham at the Riverside yesterday but Boro might be in a position to offer a player-coach role and that would have some appeal to Keane.

However, Keane is still reluctant to play for another English club against United and Celtic can offer Keane something closer to home than Juventus.

Anothere freebie...he was a good player but I haven't seen enough of him lately to know whether he can still play at his best. Perhaps he could be a better sub than the ones we have now. He is Old, but experienced. so I'd still welcome him.
