Chiellini would be a starter for every other team in Europe, except 2 or 3.
There isn't around any good defender or truly world class CB.

Chiellini's passing has been atrocious.

It hurts me to say this but he has become a liability. Not Bonucci level because his defending is still good and the guy is tough as hell... but his passing is just horrible.

He needs time to get into a zone during the season where he is an abolute beast, playing at a wc level. But this happens less and less frequently as time goes by.

We seriously need to address CB position next year. Barzagli is fucked up with injuries and is getting old... Bonucci is Bonucci, Chiellini is clearly declining.

We need to bring Rugani back and a great defender to fight for a place in the starting team.

It was a collectively failure of the back three, withChiellini most responsible and Bonucci least responsible.

Caceres has to do more to get close to Gervinho and put him under enough pressure to make it harder to play the delicate pass.

Chiellini is caught ball-watching and so fails to pick up the run of Iturbe.

Bonucci needs to be more aggressive and go out to Gervinho or drop off to limit the space in behind, but gets caught doing nothing.
