Barzagli is getting old, Chiellini is not his old self anymore and Bonucci has always been fragile and error prone (not to mention being useless in 4 man defense).

I seriously hope we start investing in defense. It's not only wingers that we badly need.

Barzagli is still priceless. Chiellini is better in 4 man defense imo and when he sucks we have Ogbonna.

As for Bonucci he can stay as 4th choice CB or leave. I hope we drop the 3 man defense for good because him and Pielo are the only ones benefiting from this formation.

We have enough quality CBs for a back 4.If we spend all our budget on CBs again then God help us.
Probably. But if we're playing 4 man defense then we don't have a LB at all.

I can't say much for Ogbonna. He didn't impress me so far, so far he seems like a good back up.

Lb? Caceres, Asamoah and Peluso as bench warmer. Both are better LBs than Bonucci CB.

Ogbonna is good imo. Strong well build defender who's faster than Bonucci and also better at 1v1. He's technique is better than Chiellini so with these attributes he's a perfect CB in 4 man defense.

His downside is that he's a bit shy with his defending I'd say but he can improve it.

Cacares as a LB? No.

Asamoah and Peluso? You have to be kidding. Asamoah might be able to cover it but it's a bigger shame to use him there than as a LWB.

Why not? He's been playing for Uruguay regularly from what I've heard as a LB. As a temporary solution I'd give it a shot and who knows, maybe even permanent one. Peluso could be a good backup, same goes for Asamoah. The latter one would be my first pick, but I'm more eager to see Caceres there atm.
