Del Piero is the only current Juve player who is a Juve legend.
Buffon and Trezeguet are close to being legends, but aren't quite there yet, in my opinion.
To be a Juve legend you have to play for the club for a long time and be successful.
Just playing in Serie B and performing well for a year or two isn't nearly enough.
Wow... can't say I agree with your opinion about Trez and Gigi.
And of course you know the following Red, and don't need to read this, but I'm going to be annoying and defend these guys anyway...
Trez is in his 10th year for Juve, he's won 4 scudetti (all of those scudetti were won on the pitch - even my friends who hate Calcio and Juventus admit/admire the quality of the players that were robbed), he's the all time leader in goals scored by a foreign player, and he helped us bounce back from the famous demotion.
Buffon has the same 4 scudetti, and the loyalty factor as well, and he has consistently been one of the best goalkeepers in the world for all of his nearly 9 year stint at the club.
They've performed very well basically every year with us - they've been protagonists, and downright prolific when healthy - and they're both effectively working on a decade with the team. In professional sports - especially these days - staying with the same team for a decade is a very long time. Also, anytime you've won nearly half of the league championships during that time, you've done pretty freaking well.
It's clear that given the magnitude of this club, and its many past successes, these guys don't exactly have the same number of titles as some other players - especially on the European stage - but the calciopoli debacle has had a significant impact on Juventus' ability to compete for championships.
The circumstances which have impacted these past 4 years are unprecedented in the history of the club, and that must surely be acknowledged. I for one don't hold the players responsible for our demotion, or the incompetence of our current management.
In my opinion - and I would venture to say the opinion of most fans - these players are Juventus legends. I actually think it's a pretty easy call, but I'll readily admit some bias; I love these guys.
Pavel is also a legend.
