It doesn't bother me that he earns relatively little. I just find it strange that a player like Boumsong earns double the money Chiellini will get. I actually agree with you, that we should keep the contracts as small as we can. My point was that Boumsong is totally overpaid.
No doubt, but €250 a week would be overpaying him anyways, the guy cant play, wont play, WTF do we pay him anything at all for?

That's Chiellini vs Ibra start in 82' (Ibra didn't give help to Chiellini to stand up from the ground)

before incident in 82', I see Chiellini give help to Zlatan when he tackle Zlatan (around 70' ++)
:agree:

Chiellini was a worldclass player against Ibrahimovic, he kept his cool, was never intimidated and played like a great professional. But the incident against Parma prooves that he is far from a professional like Cannavaro. I like him although. I expect a great future for him.

I think because of his age & temprement, Ranieri & some of the senior players would have helped him be ready for Zlatan for at least the week before the game, plus he saw at 1st hand what Ibra's personality was like. I just think he wasn't ready to be wound up by a journeyman pro like Morfeo, its a very steep learning curve for Chiellini at the moment

Chiellini's tackle on Morfeo was superb, clean, got the ball and was solid.

Morfeo reacted and was pulling Chiellini towards him on the ground by the looks of it by his mouth or his nose.

I dont see what georgio did wrong?will he miss the milan game?

I think he headbutted Morfeo after the tackle!
If so, expect at least 3 gmaes ban from FIGC

i didnt see that, i need to watch it again.

but if he has done a headbutt Ranieri needs to sort him out, thats just stupid and something that an inter player would do, not a juve one.

really hope its just a 1 game ban

there was no headbutt involved as far as i could see from the replays. just that chiellini pushed him down on his chest as leverage to get away and up fast from the trans. it was like morfeo wanted to suck face with him. :shifty:

how convenient...our best defender prolly won't be playing against milan.:faq2:

I think he will play against Milan and won't be banned for more than one game. The tackle on Morfeo was clean, and Morfeo grabed the face of Giorgio after the challenge, so Chiellini got furious. I can't see him banned for more than one game.....

Giorgio Chiellini in Scotland:

"Scotland are a very physical team. As technically superior as we are, if we are technical without being physical, then we will lose the match. I'm desperate to play in this match because I know it is such a huge occasion. It is a fantastic stadium with wonderful people. I have found a big passion for this game in Glasgow, everywhere you look you can see people with Scottish shirts on. It's going to be intense."
