If that's how you feel about the Azzurri captain, fine, but do you actually think he's more pathetic than Burdisso? Consider the alternatives, and you'll realise the Burdisso block by Mancini, is a blessing in disguise.
I dont intereset azzurri, italy without Juventus nothing to me

if one day dog like materazzi, gattuso would be azzurri captain, you cant expect respect from me

burdisso is another crap

I said go for Barzagli,Meira or surprise defender

if Cannavaro on his way to Juventus

first of all he must admit his betray

Seeming more like a quick fix than a five year plan: it was always going to be something like an Andrade-Canna or a younger Militio-Barzagli pairing. Guess I can live with the CANDRADE option. :D
That's why I wanted Milito - Canna partnership since Milito is 26 and can play for a long time. But with Canna - Andrade (29) it seems like short term solution even Andrade can play for at least 3 seasons. But as you said I can live with "CANDRADE" option.

BTW Canna salary of 5 millions is too much though even for him when you compare it with salary of the players who stayed with us.

Ranieri has just said that Canna is not coming back and that the defense is fine as it is.

Could be some kind of Moggi-tactic though. When Moggi said "we don't get this player" you could be sure that 24 hours later he was ours...:D

Yea Ranieri said he`s not coming according to calciomercato...

Juve deny Canna bid

Juventus director general Jean-Claude Blanc has hit back at fresh reports the Bianconeri are planning to bring Fabio Cannavaro back to Turin.

The Spanish Press is claiming that Juve are preparing a £4.2m offer for Cannavaro, although Real Madrid have yet to discuss the defender's situation with new Coach Bernd Schuster.

It is suggested that the former Parma star is unhappy with Los Merengues' decision to axe boss Fabio Capello and is keen to return to the peninsula.

However, Bianconeri director general Jean-Claude Blanc dismissed the news, stating that they have no plans to bring the Azzurri captain back to Serie A.

“When we started looking for a new defender Cannavaro was on the list, but he made a choice last year,” he explained.

“We decided to take another road and build for the future of Juventus and that road is represented by Jorge Andrade,” concluded the Juve official.

The 33-year-old World Cup winner had previously admitted he was hoping to return to either Juventus or hometown club Napoli before ending his playing career.

We Do Not Want Cannavaro - Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri has moved to end all speculation surrounding a move by Juventus to bring back Fabio Cannavaro to the club from Real Madrid.

The Italian coach was reacting to continuing reports in the Italian and Spanish media that la Vecchia Signora was considering making an offer for their former player.

Cannavaro, 33, has stated that he wants to continue playing in Spain, but that has not stopped the speculation as Madrid have bought two new central defenders.

Napoli were also interested and could be the Ballon D'Or winner's only hope of a return to Serie A in the future after Ranieri ruled out a bid.

"Our defence is okay as it is," the Juve coach said. "We will not sign Cannavaro."

Madrid have captured Christoph Metzelder on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund as well as signing Pepe from porto for €28m.

Cannavaro moved to the Spanish giants last summer after Juventus were enforced to spend the season in Serie following the match-fixing scandal thta hit Italian football.

After winning the World Cup with Italy, Cannavaro won the Ballon D'Or, but failed to impress during his first campaign in Madrid, despite helping the club to their first league title in four seasons.
