Tavecchio has said similar before (
http://www.football-italia.net/62306/tavecchio-‘juve-have-32-scudetti’), but I think it's just an attempt to stop the civil trial.
If fans care more about the titles, then he's probably hoping they'll put pressure on the board to drop the suit in favour of the titles.
Because it's a civil trial, there's less of a burden of proof on Juve, all we have to do is prove we were treated disproportionately badly, rather than prove we did nothing wrong.
So if they can prove that others did the same as Moggi, then there's a pretty good case for awarding damages, and Tavecchio must know that.
Personally I think what will happen is this:
1) We'll keep up the lawsuit
2) The court will initially rule in our favour, and 'Tuz will break.
3) The FIGC will appeal.
4) Juve and the FIGC will cut some deal for less money, but the titles back, or at least the unassigned one.
5) Everyone claims they were right all along.
