Ya, but they are full of shit. I don't doubt that you ran into people like that in Naples. They are definitely there, but when a friend of a friend starts saying that a guy they hate is involved in this or that, it's likely BS. Why do I say this? Two reasons:
    1. For all the shit people said about Moggi, Camorra was never mentioned once in his entire career.
    2. If he had connections that high he'd be sitting next to Berlusconi not in court fighting to clear his name.

I believe he ran into them there because Maradona himself admitted to being threatened by them when he was there and several other Napoli based players of that era came forward eventually. There was an investigation and it died on the vine (go figure). Napoli was in first place, Milan was in second. Napoli had won the previous scudetto and many Neapolitans bet on them to repeat. When it appeared as though they were going to repeat, the Camorra stood to lose a lot of money. Their friend (a young Berlumerda) had also purchased Milan a few years before and had promised to bring them glory.

Players and directors were threatened to throw their remaining games. In the last 4 games several players came down with the "flu" and Milan caught up. It was 1988. Camorra made money, Berlusconi became a hero and people got arrested. One turned state’s witness. The trial went on for a long time. As Berlusconi moved up in politics he successfully solicited to reduce the amount of years it took for a trial to fall out of statute (8 years to 2) and effectively killed the trial.
He’s got ties. Moggi? If anything he got bullied.

Worst case scenario they dismiss everything. What's next? Moggi to go to the European courts for a fair trial? What do you think?
He always said that the EU courts were on his agenda. If he doesn't like what he hears he will likely go there too.

perhaps you missed my post suggesting, after pondering it more carefully, that they could be saying such things out of hate, not knowledge...I have never really pushed them to prove their statements. I am more interested in other matters in Naples, not Moggi's past there. And its true, every single neopolitan male I know, hates Juve with a seething passion. I don't want to speak about football with any of them this last year...as napoli were better than us all season, and I won't deal with their mocking very calmly...

by the way gsol, cheers for your regular in-depth updates in this thread. Always welcomed and useful...keep up the good work, please. And at this stage of the affair, if you have an inkling of what the outcome be, what is that???

That'd be the best thing to happen to this club. Seek a place where civilization has progressed in the judiciary world.

I wish I did. I can see it panning out in a few different scenarios but I don't think we will ever be fully satisfied.

Given the way the trial went in Naples and how the GEA and other legit trials went before I can’t see Moggi getting convicted. What happens after that is anyone’s guess.

Juve can’t rock the boat and sue the people that screwed them because they are all in bed together now. At the same time if they do nothing the fans will lose it.

Expect a compromise that allows all parties to save some face. I’m just happy people have had to acknowledge that we didn’t cheat.

Why don't we hear more from the fans in Italy. I feel they have been way to quiet over all of this. Maybe it's because I am in the States and not in Italy but I feel our fans should have gone crazy over this. Rallies, riots, looting...who cares, something to make themselves heard.

The real problem with the Naples trial will be if they remove the judge on 28th June then the trial will likely be anulled due to the time statute limitations in Italy.

This is the easy way out for the real criminals 'Ladri'... if that happens then you know without a doubt the hands of Moratti are to blame for everything but it will never be proved!

I am starting to dread this as then everyone will just say well you never proved your innocence so you are guilty, BS, BS, BS, BS... or Moggi made it happen that way to get off lightly...

The problem has been the Italian media (or shall we say Inter lovers and Moratti's cock suckers) - APART FROM TUTTOSPORT - have pretty much ignored any evidence to the contrary so the mainstream population have only ever heard "Juventus are cheats!" or "Moggi is Mafioso!" therefore they believe it.

Ask 95% of those ignorants Testi di Minghia's what Juventus & Moggi actually did wrong and they will proclaim matches were fixed and refs paid off blah fucking blah!!!

When the truth is well pretty much NOTHING has ever been proved!

Some of the evidence in the Calciopoli trial for the prosecution was actually reports published in the 'Gazetta Dello Sport' commonly known as Moratti's Dirty Little Tabloid. The former head of the Gazzetta was a member of the board at Telecom Italia with Moratti & Guido Rossi. Rossi the man responsible for giving the Scudetto to Inter! He also went on to become vice president of Inter fucking Milan!

Then there was the claim that Moggi locked the ref in the changing rooms and threatened him which in court he revoked but the prosecution keep fucking mentioning it in their ranting!

But the FUCKING CUNTS claim the phone conversation between Fachetti and the Bergamo asking him to make sure the refs record with Inter which was 4 wins, 4 draws & 4 losses became 5-4-4 is irrelevant!!!

And also when Fachetti asked expressly that Collina had to referee the Inter v Juve game which was granted there was no wrong doing!!!

And when Fachetti was seen talking to the referee directly just before an Inter game in the changing rooms there was nothing shady!!!

Also asking Bergamo to visit Mr. Moratti's house to collect his gift was fucking ignored!!!

If the trial outcome is not as it should be then Juve should throw everything at this... and I mean everything in their power... now the claims have come in for damages losing would mean us paying millions to those motherfuckers for doing nothing wrong!!!

WE SHOULD BE GETTING HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS FOR WHAT THOSE CUNTS HAVE DONE TO US NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND!!!!!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I FUCKING HATE INTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FUCKING HATE MORATTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rossi had already been Inter’s VP. He went on to become Telecom’s VP…and FIAT’s Consultant believe it or not (for those who still doubt Juve’s new leadership and their involvement).

“And when Fachetti was seen talking to the referee directly just before an Inter game in the changing rooms there was nothing shady!!!”

That wasn’t illegal. Before and after the game directors were permitted to speak with referees. They did it at half time however which was 100% illegal and facchetti wound up suspended for it (I believe 3 games) when the actual punishment was supposed to be way harsher.

Juve will not be suing anyone in my opinion. They can’t attack the league and feration they play in because they would be shooting themselves in the foot. They can’t attack Gazzetta, Telecom etc. because they are all sponsors of the team now. Don’t expect cash. Nothing significant anyway. Expect some sort of compromise at best.

Who cares about the federation...we can't be shot anymore in the feet than we already have been. We may as well go balls out, it can't get any worse. The worst they can do is dismiss the case and evidence...then we go the the EU courts and get a real trial. Again, fuck the federation. We should go after the league, especially after this new scandal. Clear our name and let the federation deal with the rotting stench of everyone else that didn't play by the rules.

They do. Imagine if Juve toppled the federation in court and soaked up hundreds of millions in damages and the league folded. What good would Juve's money be then? Sounds extreme but hundreds of millions are no joke.

The ideal would have been if the federation had a different main sponsor. They could then have turned around and blamed Telecom, testified against them and held them liable but they won't do that because Telecom will just withhold sponsorship money.

I don't see major money coming our way.

So then EU courts clean up the federation, then? Show to Europe that action is being taken in Italy rather than Italians trying to clean up their own mess as we all know how that turned out the first time around. So what about the league if it gets whipped out, a new one will start with a clean slate.

I understand all that and agree with the economics of the situation but for fucks sake... Juventus basically bent over and took it dry!!!

Now they want us to roll over and look the other way while every man and his dog sue us for tens of millions?!

The compromise will bea mis-trial so no-one gets any money which is why I am so worried about the judge being removed.... as far as I am concerned Moratti has paid the prosecutors and the judges own fucking team to bring this bullshit in to stop us ever getting a verdict!

This is Mafiosi of the highest order...

Hust. It's frickin Italy!! If we threaten to run to EU courts, FIGC directors will call John Elkann. "EEEE MYY KIDDOOO me and your grandpapa were best frieendsooooo we ate pizzaaa'eee"

We lack the balls to shoot ourselves more in the foot. It's clear nothing will happen as long as Johnny-boy is in charge.
