Why should Inter go unpunished for the sake of Serie A? They didn't care when the most successful team in Italy was disgraced why should we?

Screw Serie A, justice comes first.
I get your point but you do realize that its not what Italian football needs right now.

When we were relegated due to all of this BS Italian football was shaken and has never been the same. Juventus is not the only one hurting from the scandal. Now if Inter go down then its only worsening the situation and we will inadvertently feel the ill-effects of their punishment.

It would be sweet to watch them burn like they did to us but honestly this isn't gonna benefit anyone.

Serie A, and Lega Calcio, as it is currently constituted, needs to crumble, and crumble hard.

At this point, the level of corruption from all parties involed is beyond revolting.

Everyone needs to be cleared out and start all over again.

If that means that Serie A is shut down for a year, then so be it.

I would sacrifice the whole damn thing in order for equality, decency, and a clean game again, both on and off the pitch.

Blow the whole fucking thing up. This is simply disgraceful. And whether or not there were more teams involved,a nd the level of deceit and backroom dealings going on where as bad or worse than what Juve did, it doesn't matter.

This all boils down to a culture and a system that breeds this type of nonsesne, and THAT is where it needs to stop.

And again, Serie A, and Lega Calcio are reactive, not pro-active, because of their arrogance.

Serie A can't get stronger if Cheaters prosper, the FIGC has two choices:

A 50 year steady decline of Italian Football

Full Justice and a fresh start for all and most importantly if Inter are correctly punished a competitive league that doesn't have big faggots winning it every year

Relegating Inter would encourage competition, let a new side into the champions league and would mentally skull-fuck the Interistas and their douchebag owners.

What's not to love?

You know what encourages compeition? A level palying field, and that means for all teams involved, from the Chievo's to the Juve's.

How would one initiate or present the prospect of "blowing up" the entire thing and disassembling the governing board and starting from scratch?

It needs to be done.

The powers that be at Lega Calcio are still going to be there, regardless of this outcome. And then in 10 years time, this is all going to start all over again.

Actually, though, brutha. You've inspired me. Give me until tomorrow, and I am going to start a new thread with some ideas on how Serie A can re-build itself and keep its nose clean, and not have to worry about financial insovency and 5 teams a year going under to administration.

Yea, having Palermo and Sampdoria representing Italy in the CL would be phenomenal. They'll get us far in the championship and more coefficient points.

One wouldn't, since it's impossible, considering that this does not only concern Italian Calcio, but also European football as a whole.

Clubs like Juve, Milan, ... would cease to exist & players would go play abroad. If you shut it down for 1 year, it's over for good imo.

But how do you know that they won't? If palermo and Sampdoria can consistently battle for CL qualification, then they won't need to continue the practice of being a farm team for the larger squads.

They too, can consider themselves to be large squads, and be able to keep all of the young players that they have nurtured, have a consistent squad, and be able to succeed.

And what makes you think that a Milan, or an Inter, or a Juve can do any better?

Milan flamed out, are getting older, and have no money to re-invest. Inter, it looks like, are going to be in a world of hurt, if our wishes come ture, and I really don't need to comment on Juve at the moment, do I?

Juventus,AC Milan,Roma,Fiorentina would clearly be the year in year out contenders for quite some time.

And FFS, football is about merit, if fucking Atalanta finished 3rd I'd cheer them on in the CL because they are there on merit.

Are we talking financially of in governance terms?

The governance of FIGCorrupt can't change, it's Italian ffs corruption is to them what Guinness is to my people.
I'm talking both. I may be speaking from my heart more often than my head in regards to this topic.

I've got some ideas in my head that are going to be showing up in a thread that I am going to create, where obviously everyone is entitled to critique and offer constructive criticsm.

They are some ideas that have bandied about in my scattered brain ever since this hit 4 years ago.

Nothing will happen to Inter, Serie A can't afford it.

The league has been in decline ever since we were relegated and I am sure the authorities won't want a repeat.

But the sheer thought that there is even a glimour of a chance is the best news i have heard all season
