And everyone screaming bloody murder and looking for revenge, or "justice" as you want to call it, there is still one relevant point to look at here.

Everyone was doing it.

And just because everyone was doing it, doesn't make it right.

So whatever the outcome of this will turn out to be, the underlying problem of corruption among all fronts is at the core of the situation here.

If something doesn't get done to fix it, Serie A will be dead. I mean, literally, dead.

One wouldn't, since it's impossible, considering that this does not only concern Italian Calcio, but also European football as a whole.

Clubs like Juve, Milan, ... would cease to exist & players would go play abroad. If you shut it down for 1 year, it's over for good imo.
I'm with Buck on this one, Serie A won't be sustainable without a whole year of running, the quality that'll be sacrificed as well as from an economic standpoint is too large a burden.

I agree just because everyone was doing it doesn't make it right, but the fact that we are the only club to have paid for something that everyone else was guilty of is unacceptable.

If we lost millions of pounds, players, reputation, missed out on champions league nights, challenging for titles and generally enjoying football why shouldn't all of the other guilty parties?

It's all the fault of Italy so they don't deserve to be better represented.
Its Italians judging this case, they've a reason for backing un-demoted verdict. It would fuck Italian football even more.

But how do you know that they won't? If palermo and Sampdoria can consistently battle for CL qualification, then they won't need to continue the practice of being a farm team for the larger squads.

They too, can consider themselves to be large squads, and be able to keep all of the young players that they have nurtured, have a consistent squad, and be able to succeed.

And what makes you think that a Milan, or an Inter, or a Juve can do any better?

Milan flamed out, are getting older, and have no money to re-invest. Inter, it looks like, are going to be in a world of hurt, if our wishes come ture, and I really don't need to comment on Juve at the moment, do I?
Are you really trying to convince yourself that Palermo and Sampdoria will do better than Inter in the CL? :sergio:

If they're thaaaat good then they should by all means be in the CL next season, yet they not. And to me at least, they don't deserve to be there. And if they did in fact had this oppurtunity due to Inter's demotion they'll end up screwing just like Lazio and Chievo did before them. You need CL experience and a side that has both depth and talent to succeed there. Those two lack all of that to a certain level.

Did Milan look thaat fucked up to you in Europe this season? They clearly didn't have the best of runs but still they did reach the knockout stage and eventually got kicked out by a Man Utd side that has reached the final a year ago and won it a year before. As for Juve, we might even not make it into the CL this season due to the fact that we sucked at every competition. But when we get it together next season I can't see any better Italian team than us in Italy that is, except for Inter who you're asking to be demoted.

See how screwed up Italian teams will be in Europe...
Juventus,AC Milan,Roma,Fiorentina would clearly be the year in year out contenders for quite some time.

And FFS, football is about merit, if fucking Atalanta finished 3rd I'd cheer them on in the CL because they are there on merit.
Viola haven't been contenders this year so don't make such empty assumptions. ATM both Palermo and Sampdoria are the favorites for a 4th place finish while Viola is what? 8th, 9th?

If Inter gets the boot this season, don't be surprised if you see both of those teams and even Napoli fighting it out on the Scudetto just like the 2006-2007 season where fuckin Palermo was giving Inter headaches at the beginning.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be some reparations involved if it indeed comes to that.

I'm trying to get to the heart of the matter, and that is that the FIGC, Lega Calcio, and all parties involved are now knowingly corrupt, and it needs a complete overhaul

Don't take my words out of context. Where did I say that I wanted Inter to be demoted?

We are talking about Palermo and Sampdoria here. And I did not say that they would do better than Inter, or anybody else in the CL. But they are both teams with ambitious goals, and with the financial boost of being inthe CL, can have the stability to maintain their own players and also be able to make purchases. Not right away in regards to the latter, but in time.

I'm talking both. I may be speaking from my heart more often than my head in regards to this topic.

I've got some ideas in my head that are going to be showing up in a thread that I am going to create, where obviously everyone is entitled to critique and offer constructive criticsm.

They are some ideas that have bandied about in my scattered brain ever since this hit 4 years ago.
Indeed equal TV-rights money and an new FA would be most appealing.

Inter to B and stripped of all scudetti is the only real satisfactory verditc, but it wont happen
I would prefer the money, to be honest.

Inter getting demoted doesn't help Juve's situation one bit.

All that cash will, though.

Assuming they spend it wisely, of course.

Easy. Inter to Serie B.
How does that help what happened to Juventus?

Eye for an Eye? I thought we got past that 2000 years ago.

This isn't about any sort of bragging rights here. If Juventus were treated wrongly through all of this, then their must be financial restitution.

Getting back their scudetti doesn't help their bottom line.

Lots and Lots O' Money certainly does

You replied to my post where I said that Inter being relegated will destroy Italian football replying that Sampdoria and Palermo could do well in the CL so I figured you agreed with inter's demotion. my bad.

As for your 2nd point, I agree. Yet Sampdoria and Palermo won't see the CL again of they don't make it this season, so unless one of them actually makes it to 4th spot they'll never have that bright future you're talking about.

And for our sake, I hope they won't make it.
