Unfortunately every battle against football federations ends in the same way. Whenever anyone tries to use the actual law against their unlawful "inner regulations" FIFA/UEFA threatens to ban the country from any football competition and it's over. No politician will ever follow through with it till the end because the social backlash would be astronomic. In case of a non-politician like Giraudo he will be probably HEAVLY pressured to drop this or make a deal with FIGC that will leave everything the way it always was.

fortunately giraudo isn't a club and if he manages to prove his point then not only regulations will have to adapt, but also past rulings can be challenged more easily. that wouldn't apply for cases that ended with plea bargains, but for jj's ongoing calciopoli related processes, it could prove to be useful

and honestly, who wouldn't want an other italian sports justice system instead of the current shitty one. if giraudo can make a small change then i welcome it

also, you can bet he won't make a deal with these. he's got nothing to lose as they took everything away from him, i bet he's out for revenge

Seems Andrea was the only with balls to defend the club after all unless this is Elkann tidying up all the clubs legal issues before an eventual sale?

Please discuss.
Makes sense that he could be preparing for sale.

He also seems to me like a classical businessman. He doesn't give a fuck about heritage and he probably thinks long-term it's better to give up. Maybe his calculations are indeed logical and It might benefit the club, but as a fan I must say that I'm disappointed. I never expected the club to give up and Agnelli was right there till the end, always counting Scudetti as they were won on a field. Kudos to him for that.

that's terrible news. and it's indeed probably because of a planned sale.

andrea must be pissed right now, and i'm with him.

that said, there was probably no chance to win any damages, so the call is probably justified. as a fan, i'm still pissed.

Fuck Elkann he has never been a fan. It's all business for him.
And some members of tuz were telling me elkann is not a pussy for running multi billion euro corporations. Well ladies and gents if anyone ever needed proof how much of a pussy elkunt is, here it is.

For someone like elkunt who I've been told is meant to be an astute business man is fucking brilliant at losing money, the potential damages we could have claimed, and prevention against the farcical scandal in the summer yet it cost us CL football elkunt is nothing but fucking inept

...the potential damages we could have claimed...
putting the cringe rant aside, this is probably one of the two reasons why the process was stopped. if there's no chance of getting any money out of the process, you just save the legal costs. and if you paid any lawyer, let alone an expert, not some generic one who will put a stamp on a standard rental contract, you know that those are very expensive.

again, as a fan it is disappointing. doesn't mean we have any reason to believe it was premature.

also you want the club to be sold. you should be happy as there's no one to pay a billion for a club with pending legal issues left and right. that's probably why we announced to leave the superleague, and that's the 2nd reason why this process ended. celebrate the upcoming sale

I'll believe it when I see it when it comes to selling this club. I just feel like it's the same story, let's avoid dragging legal action for the sake of 'moving on' but taking it up the culo at the same time.
