Inter’s phone calls to the refereeing designators were not notably different from those made on behalf of Juve, Milan or the other sides.
Inter's calls were worse. You would know that if you listened to them or actually read the findings on Juventus in 2006 and compared it to the one on Inter yesterday. Article 6 offenses deal with sporting fraud. Much worse than what got Juventus relegated.

Luciano Moggi always had the air of a dodgy second hand car dealer about him, so his attempts to steer things his way were not really a surprise.
This is exactly the type of bias and stereotype that made it so easy for them to feed this farce to the public in 2006.

The editorial does have some good points, but it is typical of Football Italia of late, shit reporting filled with veiled bias and half truths.

No article 6 violations = no cheating
Juve still breached league rules though, with their Articles 1 violations, did they not?

If they did that deliberately, that, to me, is cheating.

A lesser degree of cheating certainly, but still cheating nonetheless.

Others can, of course, choose to interpret it differently.

I think you’re splitting hairs. Did Totti cheat when he spat on Poulsen? Did Taddei cheat when he slapped Del Piero? Did Mourinho cheat when he gestured to a referee that he was handcuffed? Unsportsmanlike conduct has nothing to do with gaining an advantage in the standings. If it did, it would be an Article 6 violation. People get hit with Article 1s every week and we never hear about it because they mean jack shit. They usually result in fines and minor suspensions for players, coaches etc.

In any case, the sad truth is that the Article 1 violations are basically non existent now too. Remember that the calls weren’t incriminating as far as their content was concerned and it was legal to call the designators. The fact of the matter is that the teams punished were punished for maintaining what appeared to be nearly exclusive rapports with the designators which may have created a potential imbalance in treatment.

At the time it was Juventus, Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina, and Reggina that had this “exclusive rapport”. We now know that it was also Chievo, Brescia, Vicenza, Cagliari, Inter, Udinese, Roma, Livorno etc. etc. etc. In the end it was 15 or more teams out of a potential 20.

Where’s the exclusivity? Bottom line if evidence hadn’t been intentionally hidden in 2006 there wouldn’t have been Article 1s either except for the instances where Moggi called league officials names (I think it’s safe to say that wouldn’t be cheating either).

That's absurd. Milan have been punished as much as a murderer is punished if he's given a parking ticket.

Never deserved Serie B > Never in B
    Hallelujah man. I'm using it a s a sig.

Do you guys realize what all this means? According to these recent revelations, not only did Juventus win the title in 2005 without cheating but they did it (with two match days in hand) without cheating against direct rivals who were cheating. Hahahahaha WOW we had a squad then. No wonder Juvitalia won the World Cup in 2006.
That Del Piero bicycle assist to Trezeguet vs Milan > all their history combined!

Mazzola: "Juve's demand to revoke that scudetto is a move to hide the fact that they won sh*t after 2006."

"after all they took from us they want that scudetto haha...I want the 98 scudetto"...
