No need to convince me about the importance of public opinion / perception, I completely agree with you there. In fact, I have argued numerous times in this very thread that that was the main reason why we were heavily punished.

The statements made by Agnelli recently are indeed nice to hear, but do they really mean anything in the end? Similar statements have been made in the past as well, to soothe the fans it seems.

We'll see how it goes, but I am not getting my hopes up. Quite the contrary even.

I do agree with you that there should be much more focus, but the point was that there is a focus which I for one never thought would exist when the trial begun. But when the new calls surfaced, immeditaley that changed because it forced the media to report what was going on. The reporting from TuttoSport has been exceptional for example. Alvaro Moretti clearly defends Moggi and attacks Facchetti and Inter in his reporting which clearly influence people, atleast those from Torino who reads the paper.

On top of that Juventus have made statements celebrating Moggi, and are now demanding the scudetto from 05/06 revoked. And now recentley also clearly stated that they will fight for the two titles to be restored. That stuff influence the public.

If you remeber, I dont know exactly who it was, but the infamous GSOL reported about it along time ago. One of the judges said something like this: "We listened to what the common people said and tried to interpret the publics feelings". Apparentley in Italy the public influence the courts decision to judge fairley or not. And right now the public is demanding justice and Moggi cleared.

We will se how it goes, I choose to be optimistic for now and only time will tell.

Avanti Lucianone!

For compensation, we should be returned the 2 scudetti and be crowned this seasons champs automatically

and the financial reparations should be in total excess of $4 billion

and lifetime passes to Disneyworld

I dont understand why Juve never appealed? I mean we are doing all this now which is better then never but we could of avoided alot if we just appealed the original sentence in 06. I just quoting Moggi. Juve will win this verdict but atleast if we did this in 06 we could of stayed in serie a kept our players and probably still have moggi at the helm and wouldnt have had to go through the time of that SECCO.
