Trez doesnt create? Maybe not in the way Sheva does, but he turns all the loose balls inside the box+ all the opponents mistakes or unlucky touches into goals, like no one else. For me this is creating goals too.

Togon is correct. I love strikers like Pippo, Vieri, Trez. U cant teach the instincts these guys have. Aint no thing as a perfect striker, but Sheva is an all rounder and the best striker in the world for me 60+ goals in 90 odd in the best league and 27 In Europe.

No.......Thats not what said!!!
He cannot create HIMSELF a chance for goal....He is a type of a player that pounces rebounds and scores an 200% chance that a blind chicken could not miss even if she trys!!! Leave trez 1:1 with some defender,he will do nothing,he has no dribble,no technique to use in offense...he always trys to get rid of the ball. He has no abillity to take 2 defenders on him self cuz......no body fears him.
Now,wer comeing to a second problem: His other qualities like header & off-ball movement are perfect....wa cannot use that cuz we dont have wingers att all,and we dont have a real playmaker with perfect trough-ball. Thats why our game stinks this season.

So,there are 2 solutions: buy all new midfield....or buy 1 striker that can do things like WC strikers like: RVN,Sheva,Adrano,Raul,Ronaldo,Henry,Mutu,Drogba,Mido,Ibrahimovic....there are many

My points:

Trez can score
The dribbling finishing strikers are playing in spl or in epl, I think its not accidental that this kind of players are rare in Serie-a (only Seva, but he is unique).

Dribling is DPs job

I think blind chickens rarely scores 20+ in italian league

For me a goal scored from the 5 meter box after a light error of the opponents def is equal to full pitch solo.

Positioning, and arriving in good rhytm is more difficult then a bycicle trick.

Thre are NOT many wc strikers unless you think Mido is one of them.

I disagree. Players who rely on defensive errors are nowhere near as useful as those who can make a goalscoring opportunity out of nothing

What I wanted to say is that virtually all of the goals scored are the result of some kind of deffensive error. For example a defender positions himself wrongly, or the ball bounces half a meter further or just hesitates for a second etc... imo In serie-a the most important characteristic for a striker is how he exploit this opportunities, how to turn a small nearly unvisible error to a goal, and thats what Trez can do (for this, exeptional first touch, positioning, fast reaction and thinking and good finishing skills are needed, most of the things Zlatan lacking of) . btw goals out of nothing, wasnt it the one Trez scored in the Bernabeu last year???

Yes,it was....just like other 20 he scores in leauge.....also,I cant remembre when he scored in Italian derby....ussually small teams get his fury.....

Be that as it may, we're talking about players like Zlatan as Trezeguet's replacement. Now Zlatan has quite a bag of tricks up his socks, and when he decides/manages to pull them off, you can hardly call it the a defender's 'error' that he got nutmegged or bamboozled by the move.

no.all he did was volley dp's header first time on the edge of the six yard box.

it was a good opportunity to score,and trez took it like he normally does.nothing very special about it.

Drogba, a very very very interesting prospect, dribling skils of say henry (ish) pace of say a slightly slower henry, but mile better in the air and a stronger holder upper of the ball. A very good future target imo.

i disagree.he can only score simple goals(not unlike trez) and doesn't dribble well at all.he can be careless and his first touch leaves alot to be desired at times.

have u seen him in the uefa cup, look very good technicly, jus needed a decent partner with him. In le champ he has been decen scoring but his contribution in terms of build up have been very usefull. Id take him over corradi.

over corradi yes,because of his finishing and age.but even in the uefa cup i find that he's not that good really.

1 Zlatan does his tricks against defences like Fortuna Sittard, and Nijmegen.

2 I think one dribbling forward is enough (in our team, DP).

When it comes to defensive errors, I mean more unforced errors e.g. a sloppy backpass, being caught in possession in defence or misdirected headers *cough* Thuram

Sure, it's embarassing, but you can't say that most of the goals scored are due to defensive errors if an attacker has dribbled through them all. There's a difference between crappy defence and defensive errors

Would you say that Maradona and Pele's goals were scored due to defensive errors? I don't think so
