nina, I've been experiencing similar problems with the cookies, but I have a temporarily solution, if you want to get a 'smooth' session without any log-outs, just go to ur Profile as soon as you register, choose Edit Options, Submit Modifications, without changing anything, and hopefully it will work well ... but when you get back the next time you have to do this again ...

Paul, you were right. It turns out the settings were incorrect, I believe it should work ok now. Thanks for reporting the problem!

Not really a bug, but do you think you can make it so the subject of the thread you are in appears in the title bar of Internet Explorer or Netscape or whatever? I think that was how it used to be and I keep forgetting what thread I'm in and when I look up it only says "Juventuz Forums - the meeting..."

    If not, I understand :)

Well you see the thing is that the forum is currently on the juventuz.net domain, whereas the links point to juventuz.com/forum, hence clicking on those will open a framed page, where the url and page title are cloaked, ie. they stay the same.

Anyway to make a long story short, type in www.juventuz.net/forum next time you visit to avoid the problem. And in a few weeks when we're fully set up with our new host, things should be back to normal. :)

Wow Martin you are the bestes moderator ever :)

I have one more little, tiny, insignificant request. It's gonna sound like I'm anal and extremley picky, but do you think it would be possible to the page numbers of a thread on top of the quick reply rather then below it? So its like:

    -Last post on page-

Pages (2):<< 1 2 Go to first unread post

    -Quick reply-

As of now, you have to look below the quick reply area to change pages, which is a little akward because if you wanted to quick reply you wouldn't be trying to change the page.

Also, when posts are contracted, there is no page option on the bottom at all (its only on top of the page). Only when all posts are expanded is there an option to change the page at the bottom of the page.

Sorry for being such a whiner

i dont think that would work. it would make the quick reply be almost out of the layout.

but what would i know :)

How is that now, Matt? :)
Perfect. See isn't it better my way?

Anyway, just one more question and I'll leave you alone for the night at least. I have e-mail notification turned off but I have a few hundred emails in my box telling me about threads that I'm subscribed to. Why is this and how can I get it to stop?

(Not that I mind, its just that I check in every hour or so anyway and read every thread so I don't need to be notified :D )

Maybe its because you have the E-mail notification 'on', you should turn it 'off' ... it's one of the options in the profile ..

    Martin,
You seem to get logged out really quickly if you dont move around the forum.
Though normally i would see this as a bonus, a couple of times in the last day or so i have been logged out whilst writing a pm, so when i hit send i get asked to log in and then find ive lost the message i jus composed...

Also i notice most other forums with the same version of vbulletin as this have the provision to insert a 'spoiler cover' in a post... I have not come across this as an option... any reason?

You are not supposed to be logged out ever if you have enabled the cookies in your settings. There is a cookie timeout to determine how long you have to stay inactive before all posts indicators are set to read. But not to log you out.

However the day the cookies work perfectly for every single user, I'll be Juve's new playmaker..

    Insert a what??
