We're gambling here Jack, It's a big risk we're taking...you can't let Buffon leave, even-though in return you might get 50m, 50m can't bring you titles bro.
Over the season we realized that we don't have a keeper problem, Abbiati took the job pretty well and he has conceded less goals than Buffon did if I am not mistaken. 50 m € can bring you a complete bench and a few players to fill in the starting 11. 50 million € can solve most of the problems we are having, they can bring titles.

Juve needs a good goalkeeper to win the Championsleague once and we have the best there are not so manny good Goalkeepers in the world. We have the best one we could be pleasd to have such a gifted keeper instead money is all they are thinking of.

But you need winners in a squad to bring in the titles.

We can use Pavel Nedved as an example..

You say 50m euro can buy you a new squad, right?

Lazio received 40m or something like that for Nedved..

How many titles have they won after that?

Pavel Nedved is a winner and that's why we splashed the cash on him.

Milan are smart to do the same with Buffon, because he's a true champion.

Other than Buffon and Nedved, our other true champions include Thuram, Cannavaro and Del Piero. You just don't sell those kind of players, because they are priceless.

No one can deny the fact that Abbiati is pretty good keeper, though he can't fill the space that Buffon does. We all saw what could've happened to us Vs Arsenal and Bremen in all these 4legs. Abbiati can be shaky at times, though as I said he's a good keeper but surely not Buffon's Level.

About 50m, I'm not gonna lie to you and tell you It's not attractive, It is Indeed very attractive, and If I was Moggi I would probably think about It. But just like we refused the 45m from Chelsea to Clinch Zambrotta, It's better to do that with Buffon again!

This could be a wildshot but nonetheless, it could be true. If Arsenal asst. coach has spoken about it, then he's obviously heard it from Wenger, who must've heard it from Patrick Vieira. And of course, it's not hard to picture Vieira strolling past Moggi's office, acting like he's listening to his IPOD, when in fact he's just looking to overhear whether he's being transfer listed or not. That's when it must've hit him like a ton of bricks that Milan would prefer Buffon for Gila and cash, instead of Vieira and his collection of wigs.

Because Lazio used the money to pay debts.

Trust me Jeeks, I'm right on this one.

You have good players, then you have great players and then you have champions.
The latter group don't grow on trees..

Selling Buffon is idiocy!

So far I have not stated my opinion on the issue though you and Azzurri7 are trying to show me I am mistaken. All I am saying is the advantages of receiving 50 million for selling a player. Argue with me about that, not about your feelings.

50 million euro is a lot of money and of course, that kind of dough would be very useful indeed...

All I'm saying is I would rather have Buffon

This is what I have been saying as to who I'd rather have or what is something I have not said yet.

Sure thing, Jeeks

But let me say another thing while I'm at it..

He's YOUNG!

He can seriously play at top level for at least 8 more years.

Look at goalkeepers like Peter Shilton, David Seaman, Gianluca Pagliuca, Angelo Peruzzi, Dino Zoff..

Nigel Martyn went to Everton as a 36 year old and kept clean sheets week in week out and played a huge part in his team finishing 4th in 2005.

Buffon will be GREAT, for MANY years to come.

I'm sure the world haven't seen the best of him yet.

Buffon is very important for Juve and perhaps the best player in the world. but every player has his price like we saw with Zidane or Inzaghi. I just hope that Buffon is a juventini and wants to stay with us.

I agree that Abbiati has done well in the first half of the season. Last weekend's Lazio match alone was enough for me, not to want to rely on Abbiati next season though. Abbiati had one howler after the other, that and his nonchalant attitude was enough to make me crap my pants each time the ball got close to him.

Buffon is a great player..he is a true Juventino.. Abiati is good too..but sometimes he wobbles.. Gigi is priceless..

Jem83 mentioned something about Martyn which is true.. he is 36 playing for everton..and hell was he good..but it was the everton defence that led him down at times..

Buffon still has many years ahead of him and he still makes some VERY good saves i must say..
