If we pulled this off and a Xabi deal, the transfers for this season wouldve been excellent (including the kids coming back and Amauri)

That and a decent LB would be ideal!:rulz:
Decent LB is the only thing we desperately need.
Looking at the names we have at CB, a new great cb will really come handy, but i just can't see our board getting rid of one of Mellberg, Legrottaglie, Knezevic or Andrade in order to buy a new CB.
Buying Knezevic was a clear indication that we won't be buying a great cb.

We'll have to live with that and hope that at least a LB will be bought.

Haha, amen to that hope because from the reaction we've been getting from the board I can already foreshadow that De Ceglie was the reinforcement for left-back.

True and i cant see the logic behind this Ivanovic rumors,
i believe there are just rumors recycled and since there is no officials quoted, i think this is the case...

Doesnt he double as a RB too? That could be the reason why they want him i.e. not as a CB But I guess Mellberg is the same issue but he doesnt have that up and down the wing RB marauding mould I wouldnt mind if Ivanovic came to displace Grygera and Zebina plus Biri is gone

Either the board thinks Andrade cant really comeback as a footballer, and see Ivanovic as an option due to that. Or they see Ivanovic as a RB, which he is, as much as he is a CB. Even if we have two players, it would be useful (not that it means anything, but we lost minor depth in Birendelli), or a must if we sell Zebina.

From what the Serbs i know told me, Ivanovic is a RB as much as Chiellini is a LB.
He can cover the position without many problems, but he's much better in the center.

But still, this doesn't make any sense here. There has really been no news as far as I've seen regarding whether or not Andrade is anything more than just weight-training. We don't know what is going on with him, nor what the board thinks about him. Perhaps he still does fit in the plans because nobody will want Andrade anyway. So, if this Ivanovic stuff is really true and we end up signing him, what was the Knezevic transfer about?

Either way, I hope we do sign Ivanovic but I really doubt that will happen after we signed Knezevic.

perhaps we are moving Chiellini back to LB?

It could be this:

Zebina--Melberg--Ivanovic--Chiellini.

which is not bad at all.
