Hmmm...

The Galley Slave by Drago Jancar is a fantastic read.

And if you haven’t read Thomas Pynchon, I’d highly recommend both Gravity’s Rainbow and Against the Day.

Krasznahorkai’s The Melancholy of Resistance too.

finished yesterday dostojewskis the brother karamasow, took me 4 months. its okay. a long trip into the russian soul.
began with a book about ancient persia, it's not a roman.

finished the book about ancient persia from josef wiesenhöfer. I think the book is too unexact, could be misinterpreted.

Back to a roman. I will beginn now with „The Dervish and the Death“ from Selimovic. You guys told me its a good one. Heard that it is very philosophical and mystic, sounds nice to me.

Okay, going further into my Yuguslavian Tour, next book i began is from Momo Kapor - A Guide to the Serbian Mentality. Does anybody know it?

It's one of the biggest treasures when you dig into Serbian literature. Selimovic is brilliant. You'll make no mistake to keep on reading his stuff. Just skip on reading The Circle imo. Oh and read Kis if you haven't. He's a gem.

I'm not an expert on Kapor. I have his books but I'm yet to read his best work.
