Pyramids, by Terry Pratchett. One of his earlier ones, and merely okay.
He definately improved as a writer as he went on, which is nice. Most of them just seem to run out of ideas. :smile:
Still, some nice touches, like a genius mathematician camel called You Bastard (just imagine him earning his name!), two opposing armies who, determined to fight the same war as the last time (which was 3,000 years previously), build a bunch of wooden horses ("Look, if they're dumb enough to think we'll fall for that, they're certainly dumb enough to bring our ones home..."), one of which is on rockers, and pyramids that warp time.
