Honestly overnight that turns Ligue 1 into the most watched league in Europe.

Imagine how far they happy they'd be to have us, as opposed to the FIGC shitting on us every chance they get (and making up changes rhwn there's none)
True. The French would tune in in droves for some exciting Allegriball week in week out. Who wants to see Mbappe Messi and Neymar when you can watch Milik glorious penalty kicks.

We'd need to have a lot of goodwill at UEFA to spite FIGC and pull that off. Not going to happen.
Agree

Also no French teams signed up for the Super League, right? And PSG in particular stood against it.

So they'd probably block a way out for us and Barca vs UEFA targeted sanctions etc.

Stop trolling and answer me this: Have you ever been to Italy? I been there many times, they are totally sectarian when it comes to football and are completely obsessed, so it effects things in a way it doesn't in most other countries.

First time I was there was school trip when I was 15 or so. I had Juve shirt on and was refused service in cafeterias and diners in Florence because of it.

Similar thing in Rome summer after etc.

There's many other examples of the tribalistic nature of football over there all my trips past 20 years, so I find it naive when I read:

"this is based on assumption that these people in power cannot put carry their jobs in a professional or objective manner and let sporting preferences cloud judgement."

First half all, thats Italian society in a nutshell for all things, but also the effect of football.

I mean ffs they don't mind even saying it openly (roman prosecutor said openly Juve needs enough pts penalty to finish behind Roma, Napoli which is a city third of the officials and footballers are from, openly declare their enmity) , it doesn't have to be some over arching conspiracy, its just sheer biasm and general hatred of Juve who are 1st or 2nd rival for most of the nation. That type of biasm will effect alot of minor decisions for each individual.
this is anecdotal and no way represents a sample size big enough to make a proper judgement

I’m not sure about Guintoli. Let’s not forget that he needed 8 years to win a Scudetto, he’s been there for quite a while.

If possible I’d continue with Cherubini in this role. Get a good coach and Del Piero as president

Id defo watch that Milik pen again and again. In a different team though. We use to laugh at these kind of players, common at inter, roma or lazio. Ffs

Finding gems to build a team that competes and coaching are two different jobs.

Cherubini is of old management. We need to purge from that completely.

It’s the fucking history and the culture of the country in general.

He was genuinely confused about why southerners (especially those from Napoli) would despise Juventus and northern clubs with the hatred that Arabs have towards Jews.

the concept of ohhh they hate us they won't let us win is hard to take seriosuly when your team wins 9 titles in a row.
The fact we won 9 in a row is exactly the reason why they are so mad and pissed off lmao.

This is a country that despises winners and those that are successful. There is absolutely zero middle ground with us. It’s not the first time they’ve tried to destroy us after being successful. It’s happened from even before Farsopoli.

The fact he even won one is an accomplishment with the budget he's been given. It's not like he's running Juve; Napoli's payroll is more than half theirs this season.
I don’t think that there’s an exceptional list of the players he bought and sold. Kvara seems his best buy, Osimhen costed 75m and he paid 45m and 36m for the likes of Lozano and Milik aswel.

We should be cautious in chasing their Scudetto hype. Napoli might’ve had a year where they overachieved and basically all the other title contenders had an insanely poor year. In all those years neither an exceptional CL run either, just a Coppa and now a Scudetto.

Cherubini is from the old management but was very outspoken about how Paratici managed things though.

I don't think it'll be long till Ligue 1 is able to compete with the EPL in terms of marketability, I mean they already have the Qatari money in tv deals, it'll only take another sheikh or 2 to buy a French team and turn it into a power house to compete against PSG.

How many times can we play Barcelona in a year without it becoming too boring?
Perhaps we could add some WWE type acting and soap opera to it.

    - - - Updated - - -

Add some South and North American teams as well

Also, if new management does come in then why do people want ADP as president?

We are still reeling from the former president who was a nepo baby with a marketing degree and wholly unqualified for the job. Why bring in someone even more unqualified? What is wrong with letting football people run a football club?
