It's insane to see this with how much ahead of them we were not five years ago. Just goes to show 1-2 bad transfer cycles back-to-back can break a team completely and then you spend the next few cycles trying to catch up or fix what you got wrong instead of strengthening what you got right. It's a vicious cycle when bad directors start making bad transfer decisions.
tbh it's down to jj not doing their job properly rather than inda being too strong for the league (which is clearly not the case, they still have the strongest squad imo)
just look at our transfer markets since marotta left. how many long-term solutions did we sign? perin could be one, chiesa certainly is one, (de ligt could have been an other), vlahovic, loca and bremer have the potential to become one. and that's all in 5 seasons. not even half of a starting lineup while we had an ageing squad even in 2018. and we all but gave away romero who's not a world beater but certainly better than rugani (two extensions) or any other cb we have besides bremer. the other signings were either straight out shit or squad player level at best. and we spent more than 800 million on transfer fees only, let alone the wages (with cr still here once we had the 3rd largest wage bill at some point lol)
incredible waste of resources, simply insufficient job. tici was pure cancer, and bini didn't really raise the bar either.
