Ah yes, we've indentified that one player who is to blame for lack of cohesion, any gameplan or the ability to break down the defense of Serie A's finest 10th placed team
Napoli is in 10th place but is definitely not only the 10th best team in Italy. They beat Liverpool this season. Their squad is unmotivated, but yesterday was their cup final.

Matuidi is not the only problem but he is a problem.

People should chill the fuck out about Blaise. He gave us two good years on the pitch, he still works his ass off and leaves it all out there. He may be in decline now with age, and not able to offer as much each game, but that’s never a good reason to heap so much abuse on the guy.
agreed. hes a likeable guy who could never be accussed of being lazy or unprofessional.

Hopefully Badass calms down and stops threatening his safety. :scared:

It seems Badass is onto more important things. He is busy bashing Beppe and well on his way jinxing Inter to a potential scudetto.

This evil jinx machine needs to be stopped for the good of the team!!

Nobody has said he's bad at what he does or that he isn't passionate, but the thing is that it's called football and when you have that ball on your feet, you should be able to do something with. It ain't all about lungs, it ain't all about how much you give on the pitch or otherwise you could put anybody in there. He is great what he does, but he plays in a wrong club. I'v always said he's a burnley type of a player, they have that 30% posession per game and if you can somewhat get 0-0 or win 1-0 against other bottom tier team, he might play a crucial role in the middlefield but when we're actually trying to break through enemy's defense and having 70% posession, what is Blaise doing in there? Only usage i can see for him with us as a rotational player and let's say 2nd leg in UCL when we beat somebody 2-0 or 3-0 at home, we could possibly take a little more defensive approach but other than that, he shouldn't be a constant starter.

Love the guy, but it's just how it is.

His lack of ball control and passing is harming us.

Make me change my mind.
He kills the flow of the game. When he gets a pass he takes twice as long as everyone else to keep the ball moving. Horrible fit with Sarri, but that should’ve been obvious before he got a chance to show it. And now he might get an extension?? Paratici (or whoever the fuck is making these brain dead calls) needs to go ASAP.

Dat pass to Napoli which initiated their counter though. I knew he would fuck it up massively the moment he was about to cross. Such an easy outcome to predict with his footballing skills.

Yes. Awesome logic. Let's renew the contract of one of our worst players to spite Tuzzers. Who cares about the team and putting ourselves in the best possible position to win in Europe?
I’m going to write my fratello who knows a girl, whose husband’s 5th cousin’s estranged ex-wife knows Tootsie, and ask him to dedicate Matuidi’s renewal to you, bro. :klin:

His renewal would be expected and good news.

Contract running out and he's valuable/very useful backup level, not Khedira/Can useless/not needed anymore level.

If it sends the usual suspects into a meltdown spiral, that's a fun bonus.

Next time you laugh at fif or premfaces, take a hard look at yourselves.

Juventus has the option of one more year on Matuidi

29/01
Reports are surfacing of an option to extend the contract of Blaise Matuidi being held by Juventus.
Blaise Matuidi entered the final year of his contract with Juventus this past summer. There were plenty of rumors that the Frenchman was heading for the exit door.Despite being told that he was not a first-choice player for new boss Maurizio Sarri, Matuidi chose to stay. The 32-year-old has played an important role in the side this season. He has apparently forged a superb reltionship with Sarri.

Blaise Matuidi will stay at Juventus & will not be excluded from the CL list, the French has established an excellent relationship with Sarri & that he has no intention of leaving Turin. [Matudi's entourage to RMC]

It now apperas that the French World Cup winner may be in line to stay beyond even this seaosn in Turin.
Italian outlet Calciomercarto.com, believe that the club has the option to extend the player contract by one year.
Their sources suggest that Juventus has until the end of February to exercise this option. His agent Mino Raiola has already started speaking to the club. With a view as to what moves the player makes next.
If he fails to secure the extension, Matuidi is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement. This means he can leave Juve on a free this summer.
This kind of move could prove a lucrative payday for the player. This is something that his agent Raiola will be fully aware of.
