Didier admires Juve hunger

Didier Deschamps was impressed by Juventus’ Trofeo Moretti victories, but Roberto Mancini asks for more from his Inter stars.
“I am glad to see that the hunger for success is always the same,” smiled the Bianconeri boss after last night’s prestigious friendly tournament win. “It’s important that the players go out on to the field with that winning mentality.”
After their demotion to Serie B as a result of the Calciopoli scandal, and their 2005-06 Scudetto handed to Inter, Juve had a point to prove at the Stadio San Paolo. They made it by beating both Inter and Napoli 1-0, the latter on a shoot-out after it had ended goalless.
“We were livid at the events of this summer and were determined to make a stand,” added defender Nicola Legrottaglie.
“We are a real squad here,” continued veteran Alessandro Birindelli. “We proved that we have desire, character and team spirit. We work with the right enthusiasm thanks to Coach Deschamps and the experienced players have helped the new boys to settle in.”
Nobody enjoyed the victory more than Turin-based newspaper 'Tuttosport’: “Juve teach a lesson. Inter have the Scudetto, but on the pitch the Bianconeri always win. Inter – watch and learn.”
The Nerazzurri were unable to call on their big new signings, such as Hernan Crespo, Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but their Coach was nonetheless irritated at losing to both Juventus and Napoli.
“These games are very useful for experimenting with different tactical solutions. We weren’t sharp due to the hard training work we’d done in the past few days, but we certainly could’ve and should’ve done more,” noted Mancini.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic made his debut at La Pinetina this morning with his first training session for Inter.
