hmm.. I've been using Songbird lately, but it's very buggy.

Is Amarok (for Windows) really better? If so, why exactly? Thanks for the info!

EDIT: wait a minute, I didn't find a version for windows on their site. Does it (still) really exist?

Foobar is the swiss-army knife of audio players. No other player has as much capabilities and is as much customizable. There's simply no denying that.

I tried foobar and thought that Amarok's simplicity and elegance has no match.
I agree with you, but if we're talking about capabilities of the software....amarok is Windows, foobar is linux. I simply admire it, just as I do linux but still use the easier of the two. :p
I am giving a try to Foobar right now. Looks decent, but why should I be convinced?
Low system usage, built-in support for every audio format, lots of DSP options and serious room for customization. Would you believe this is foobar?

You can make it look the way you want, behave the way you want, though it requires serious work and a learning curve. Just like linux. :p
I've given up personally, only use the ugly default look now, but the capabilities are unlimited.

Because I do? :p

Actually, I use the explorer 99% of the time since my music is neatly organized in folders.
Well, don't you know him and his love of ID3 tags?

I use the folders as well and that's why I love AmaroK most because I can browse my folders just as I organized them and there are no media libraries nor tags that can organize them the way I have organized my music.

Since there isn't a downloadable Windows version of Amarok I guess I have to download the Linux one and it'll run on Windows nonetheless, right?
Wrong, see how special we are? We can run Winblows apps on Linux but we choose not to but Winblows cannot run Lunux apps. nana nana booboo
