He was mostly injured for Lyon so he didnt get a chance to prove his worth. But he was a top class striker, no doubt about that.

Goal.com Debate Special: Who Is The Best Free-Kick Taker In The World?

Two of Europe's most renowned free-kick takers, Alessandro Del Piero and Juninho Pernambucano, both scored from set-pieces in the Champions League in midweek. But who is the best free kick taker in the world? Goal.com invites readers to have their say…
»Comments (861) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom Since joining Lyon in 2001, Brazilian midfielder Juninho has come to be regarded as something of a free kick specialist. Indeed on Wednesday night against Steaua Bucharest, the 33-year-old scored his 40th direct free kick for the seven-time French champions. This works out at just under six goals a season.

Another player who strikes fear into opponents when he lines up a dead ball is Juventus icon Alex Del Piero. This season in particular the Golden Boy is on a hot streak, and his curler against Real Madrid was incredibly his fourth goal from a free kick this term, and his second in a matter of days.

Juninho and Del Piero are not the only two players though who can legitimately claim to be the best free-kick taker in the world. Goal.com’s worldwide journalists have worked together to provide a list of nominations. It will then be up to you, the fans, to decide who really is number one.

Ok, maybe it's not that funny but it's still funny coming from someone who claimed that Tiago wasn't a flop in his first season with Juve.

I knew I'd get a rise out of someone. :D

But then again, Tiago only had a handful of chances and didn't do that poorly in his two starts in October of 2007. Modric has played all the time. I've seen the Yids play at least four times this season and Modric has not looked very impressive, sadly and gladly to say.

I haven't seen him at all in Tottenham. I only heard that he's been playing bad.
I also knew that you said it just to tease Vlatko, but it was still funny knowing how you reacted when people called Tiago a flop. :D

I don't think Tiago is a flop because he wasn't played that often. When he was played, sure, he had some bad appearances, but his first two starts IMO were decent. Now, if we trust Ranieri in his decision making Tiago was indeed a flop, but as we all know Ranieri is a lunatic.

Mihaijlovic this, Mihaijlovic that :blah:

What's better scoring 3 FKs in one match, or 3 winners in 3 different matches? :eyebrows:
