I was referring to Lac's post and he said sth about objective beauty. So I gave a question: is there sth like objective beauty or it's all depends on eye of the beholder.
A bit bald a statement, without giving it THAT much thought, I'm tempted to say there is no objective beauty.

And I don't agree too much about that youth plays a part in the perception.
Not always. Look at eg Pierce Brosnan now and 20 years ago. Then he was not good looking, now he looks better.
But it doesn't have to refere to anyone of course.
Yes, it doesn't apply to every case. But it does play a part a lot of the time IMO.

    i do notice one....

all these players i really like and respect as people (from what i read in the media) either that or they just look like nice people.

i've seen many interviews with Del Piero, Maldini, and Klinsmann. i highly respect them on and off the field.

Thuram and Pessotto seem like nice people (check out the il mio canto libero).

i would add Davids and Zola!! to the list but they're facial features are too far from normal :D

Nesta, canna, and Aimar have that innocent and again, nice person, look.

Maybe it's not good looks when it comes to judging the same sex (for hetrosexuals of course)
    i dont know....still confused

There's a difference between being a nice person and looking good though...

Sure. But sometimes when you like someone, you can say: eh he is not sooo ugly. And when you can't stand someone, you try to find some ugliness in his looks.

I agree cause people have very different point of view in this matter.

But from the other site, if there isn't stj like objective beauty, why most of us find some people good loking and the other ugly?

Like: does anyone think that Albertini is good looking?

hmm.... football players i find attractive:
    dp
    canna
    pippo
    to a certain degree, totti
    tacchi
    camo

some of them, though, i like for their more interesting features. like, sure, pippo has nice lips, but what's cooler is the little cleft in his chin.
totti has a hurter (this is a new word, use it in a sentence today) big nose but i wouldn't change it for the world.

i think when i get attatched to someone, for whatever reason, i begin to appreciate the intricacies that make them who they are.

there's probably a certain youthful factor there too though.

Yes, less than the mentioned players but yes I do.

Glad you brought up Totti. I don't understand people who think Totti is looks so good. And exactly because his face always did look older than he was. At 21 he looked like he could be 27. He doesn't have that element of youth. He doesn't look bad but completely uncomparable to Nesta for instance.

And Pippo, he's starting to look older now, facial features have become more definite and that makes him less handsome IMO.

about the youth, im not so sure really

btw u really want a baby-face? look at a certain ole gunnar solskjaer!!- the baby-faced asassin ;)
Yeah that's one of the best examples, he looks really young to be 30. Though I didn't mention him cause I don't think he's particularly good looking. :)

That's more or less I said earlier: if we like someone, we will like his look for sure.
