Hey how about a good old battle of the bands? We choose 16 or 32 past and present bands and pit them out against each other in a knock out tournament with the winner of each match being the band with most votes.

Or is this a stupid idea? :)

It's an ok idea I guess. At other forums they have battle of the bands, actors, clubs (like from specific eras, like for example Juventus 95/96), battle of yoghurts, etc etc...

Well start listing bands then, btw real bands not boy or girl bands pls ;)

I like the idea of battle of teams (of different eras) - I wonder which Juve team would win.

Actually the list has to have 32 so to be able to do a knock out. And since it's a battle of the bands, let's remove Bruce and Bob so to keep just bands on. That means if we remove those two and add The Doors, we only have three more bands left to choose.

I'd add The Jam and The Smiths...again ;) and also Stone Roses ....And so we would be 32!

Does it have to be a Rock group?

Because if not, I've got a few.

    Earth, Wind & Fire
    Parliament Funkadelic
    Public Enemy

If we make it open for all sorts of groups it's going to be a lot bigger. We would have to have 64 or 128 groups. When I think about it that would just be fun. :)
My suggestion is that we make one round per week. That would be six weeks with 64 groups and seven weeks with 128.

    Fliakis:
    The Beatles are there.
