Integral part for sure, but saying he should be in the running for Balon d’Or is ridiculous. He wasn’t even the best player in those teams. That guy played like a very good, well above average player but he was not one of the best in the world.

Jorginho finishing ahead of CR7 was hilariously bad, but tbh Ronaldo is crying too much about his placement. He was no way a top 3 player this year, Lewandowski, Messi, Benzema and Salah were all clearly superior.

Lewandowski crushed competition with Bayern while breaking record after record so obviously he is more deserving but both Kante and Jorginho contributed to a success while Messi - havent really won anything with Barcelona this past year (Obviously he is one of the all time greats but its not automatically makes him the winner)
