I think i'll skip the match against Brasil. If his starting eleven & formation will be the one from the last training I will cry, terrible..

Bonucci & Chiellini together in a 4man defence, trio in midfield (Aquilani-Montolivo-Marchisio) and Diamanti & Candreva around Balotelli..

WTF is Prandelli doing? Giovinco on the bench and Candreva & Diamanti will start? He's getting Gaga

I'm all in for trying something new, because whatever they've been doing against Japan wasn't working at all. The only problem I see is Aquilani - he offers absolutely nothing to the team, a complete waste of space. I wonder how long will it take for Prandelli to realise that. I'd go with something like this:

Buffon
Abate - Bonucci - Chiellini - De Sciglio
De Rossi - Montolivo - Marchisio
Diamanti - Giovinco
Balotelli

If things aren't going well and Italy's defence is getting raped again, Giaccherini for Giovinco.

What about Maggio? I think he's a far superior player to Abate. I'd play:

------------Buffon
Maggio-Bonucci-Barzagli-de Sciglio
--Candreva-Montolivo-Marchisio
-----Diamanti-Giovinco
-----------Balotelli

Maggio isn't the player he was a couple of years ago.

He's not great defensively and isn't as effective in attack as he used to be.

4-4-1-1 is almost invariably the answer.

Buffon

De Sciglio-Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini

Candreva-Marchisio-Montolivo-Giaccherini

Diamanti

Balotelli

In my book Maggio is still far superior in attack to both Abate and de Sciglio, who both have energy, but not much more to offer. Defensively I wouldn't trust neither of them, although Maggio might be the worst one :D Chiellini on the left is a decent option, would offer some stability and balance. I'm not sure Giacch has it in him to start 3 games in 6 days at that heat, a half dead Giaccherini sounds pretty useless. :D

Could play Cerci instead of Giaccherini if he's knackered.
