Excellent match. I managed to hide from the big boss and watch it at work :tuttosport: Haven't seen a match like this in some time. It was nonstop, like the biggest clash in the world should be. Italy had more chances and finished more while Brazil was lethal on the counter attack.

Given that Brazil's team is a new born and that defense is anything but tight, actually it's complete shit and Italy had lots of chances because of that...In the end it was a fair result. Both teams played well, the defenses not so much.

Neymar had a pretty solid performance. Really top class. First time he stands out when playing against top defenders. It's just a spark of what he can do in the near future. And there were people here who would rather have us signing Gameiro over him, fuck off, will ya...

Shoot me but as i was reading some of the comments, i still find it funny when a foreigner says "we" when talking about the Italian team. I mean, it's one thing to follow/support a club and a whole another thing to support a national team, a nation, a country you weren't born in or have no connection to, from relatives/ancestry or something. I don't know, it's just weird.

I was expecting a boring match but kudos to both teams for going for it. Both teams will be hard to crack once they tweak their defences. That bolded part is business 101 fail. In these dire financial times you need everyone to believe they are from your country so that you can start mass exporting little Cassano's puppet dolls.

Same here, man. I was only gonna watch the first half and get back to work. All it took was the first 5 minutes to change my mind, i was bought right there. It was crazy right from the start and i'm happy i risked losing my job for watching this match. :tuttosport:

Guess you're right, it's all about marketing. Yet, why would someone not support the place they're from, instead supporting some place maybe in the other side of the world...It's your land, your home! Meh, it makes no sense to me. :claire:

I love Italy, Juve, Del Piero , etc...

ButIf by any stroke of luck my shitty footballing country crossed roads with Italy in a major official game...i would root for my country definitely.

Now... if you asked me which team i would root in a game between my country vs the Juve of Del Piero, Neddy, Trez and Buf.... now THAT would be a tough decition...

Who told you that I can't cheer for Italy ?? Why I can't do that?? Just because I wasn't Born there, what a bullshit argument, so I can't cheer for Juve too and I should cheer for Russian teams only, or I can't cheer for Juve only in CL because he is representing Italian football there?!
I never said you can't or anyone for that matter. Juventus is a club, not the face of a nation. They don't sing along to the Italian national anthem when they play.

The point of International competitive events is, as obvious as it sounds, for nations and it's people to compete against each other. To find out who are the best athletes and from where. That's the main reason the Olympic games were invented and why they still exist. Being nationalist and supporting your own people has nothing to do with being ignorant. If that was the case, the Italia you love so much would be the king of Ignorance since they're THE nationalists. You'll never see an Italian trying to be Russian or something else.

It's just weird, man.

That's more like it.

I do too. I have a soft spot for Italy for obvious reasons, as i do for a couple other teams. But that's it. I will always support my national team regardless of how good or bad it is and regardless of my ancestry.

I'll be supporting Italy next Tuesday when they play Malta. Suck my dick.
But.....but....you......you can't......be....be......because.....it's.......
