Players are tired. Marchisio, De Rossi and Balotelli in particular.

Expect to see changes. Motta, Giaccherini and Di Natale to get some playing time.
Balotelli will start for sure. No matter how many chances he wasted (as did others), he is setting every's defense on edge.

It's not just about ability. Dude won't be able to outrun Hummels and Badstuber from minute 1 to 90. Same goes to some other players.

Germany already played 30 minutes less and had 2 more days to rest.

If we control the possession and play smart... then Ball is faster than human... we will be OK, speed isn't everything when you use your head and make it a chess match...

Balza deserves to start. Motta, Montolivo and Noce and Diamanti will fight for one position. We'll see. I want Gio and Balotelli to start, or Balotelli and Di Natale, but we will see Cassano most likely.

Italy created the most chances so far. ItalJuve indeed!
If this team and someone upfront that had the killer touch it would really be a scary team. Imagine Baggio or Viari or a ADP or Totti taking those shots at goal . OVER! I know Rossi is no where near the level of those guys mentioned but I think even him upfront would have scored a few goals this tourney.

and di natale can make runs and be a constant pest
:agree:

I'd play him because I'd say he is the man to take advantage of the German defenders occasional loss of concetration, which is their main weakness.

They would be quite happy to see Cassano and Balotelli spending the whole game playing in front of them and never forcing them to watch the space in behind.

If Di Natale can push Germany's defence back a bit it can also help to open up the space in midfield and make it easier for Italy to keep the ball.

balzaretti is useful going forward imo. I'd rather switch chiellini for bonucci even though bonucci has been in great form
Is Balzaretti fit/fresh enough to start?

He's done well, but he hasn't played a lot in the last few months and appeared to be suffering more than any other Italian player at the end of the game against England.

 just came across this on goal.com's comment section

The History OF Nocerino Jokes

its started after milan fan crying to see antonio nocerino playing instead of pirlo & co. then we decide to award nocerino as the best ever footballer on the planet to make milan fan happy

Nocerino had a pet rock ..he called it Earth ....when Bruce Banner Gets mad he turns into the Hulk when the Hulk Gets man he turns into Antonio Nocerino when Nocerino gets mad ..you better run ...Nocerino can sit in the corner of a round room ...Nocerino's computer has no backspace because Nocerino dont make mistakes

nocerino isn't interested for lowly continental awards like ballon dor. he goes for inter-galactical awards. meanwhile lord lokki gets home early from work to watch nocerino plays. He is the equivalent of ten million Messi's and Ronaldo's and Van Bastens's

Nocerino is the next Emily Heskey, But better, even better than Chuck noris.

I guess his tiny wiener provided more comic relief, rather than being an actual distraction for Diamanti :howler:
