Significantly. It boosted his teammates and it fucked Hart who was laughing and being an ass before it. Young missed his penalty just after Pirlo's and I don't know if Pirlo fucked him psychologically but it's a possibility.

If i was Young i would of taken my penalty exactly the same way Pirlo did letting him know what he can do i can do better it would of seriously fucked with the Italian's heads and given the English a massive lift. I also think Cassano is fucked and Gio should start the next game but i know for sure he won't.

Precisely. I didn't like him against England, he was losing the ball all the time.

At least Di Natale can score goals, he's by far Italy's best finisher.

Benzema had two assists to his name and was great for France in the group stages.

Other than his (great) goal against the Irish Balotelli done nothing other than wasting easy chances.

So you're saying, his 2 assists against Ukraine means Benzema has had a better campaign than Balotelli? Both teams where they made their points are below-par teams.

Which is why I suggest Giovinco, but I don't think that Prandelli will change anything. I think Di Natale might be more useful off the bench.

Italy played Germany last year and did pretty well. 1-1. That was a 4-3-1-2 with Chiellini on the left, and Motta in anchor. The big concern must be that Germany has a quick/mobile No.10 (Ozil) who Motta could take care of but Pirlo won't. Chiello also shut down Lahm as a LB and got an assist.

He might to do something similar but have a double anchor with Pirlo-Motta and DDR -Marchisio just ahead. Maybe even go with DiNatale as a lone striker... contain Germany and energy early, then bring on Balo and Cassano when it's time to chase the game. It's a real headache though.

I'd start with Cassano and bring on Di Natale or Giovinco later. I'd like to see both Gio and Borini givenmore time to showcase their talents/abilities, but I realize doing so against the Germans might not be such a good idea
