Well, Canada doesn't take part in the euros and almost never qualifies to the world cup.

Defense is probably at its best too, remains to be seen how fit Cassano will be and options upfront. But certainly an interesting team Italy is gonna be to keep an eye on this Euro.

2006 Italy midfield, had Pirlo and Gattuso on their prime plus Perotta who makes up a lot of ground with his tireless running. DDR was an upcoming star as well. I would not say the current midfield is better than the 2006.
