Sack Prandelli and appoint Conte!
That's a great idea.

Juve then have to go searching for a coach again.

That is just brilliant. Because there is no way that Juve would let him do both

prandelli is good at copying conte's tactics, then forgetting to use wich one of them when the final comes
If you have any better ideas for a coach, please tell me.

A coach who is looking to change the culture of the way the National team plays football.

If you have any better ideas, I'm all ears.

It won't, but don't underestimate how important he is to Barcelona and Spain. He isn't just an important part of their system, he is the system.
I don't underestimate him but the system is bigger than him. 5-6 technical mids, most who could play SS or CM when needed. Italy actually did a good job using a similar system despite having players who aren't trained in it.

RE; Treq. Prandelli had to use Montolivo because a) there is no current one of quality.
b) to compensate for Pirlo and Cassano's lack of mobility.

For 2014, a midfield of -
Striker
Insigne-----Giovinco
Veratti-----Marchisio
DDR

-could boss most teams.

lets see if Conte could convince Giovinco to play more midfield rather than SS... Also I want Veratti now on Juve not next year! We need to get him ready for the big stage ASAP. Not only for Juve but the the Nat. team as well.

Italy has had to copy Chelasea way of playing against Barca... And that could be a clue to victory !!!!!!!!!!!!
Chelsea just parked the bus with 10 men on defense, had like 1 or 2 counters which they converted on.... doesn't take a genious to do that.... Prandelli really tried to play open and attacking, which for the most part could have even worked, we heald the ball for aobut 50 % of the possession until Motta went down. But the problem is that when you only have 3 or 4 mids vs their 6 its hard to pressure the ball and take it back, you get tired of chasing and mentally fatigued at waiting for the through pass to come. 3/5/2 or 3/6/1 is the way to attack Spain and Barca IMO . . . Plus don't forget, we were coming off a very emotional win vs Germany less than 48 hrs before that final started. Horribly situation to face a foe like Spain//// Brilliant planning by UEFA!

Ah, finally back to 'Tuz. :)

We got steamrolled in the finals, but I'm still proud of the Italy NT. They did a wonderful job IMO, and there should be no shame. Forza Azzurri!

I have a question ..... How do you guys feel about Spain running up the score after the Motta injury? I understand 3-0 but 4? when Italy was clearly done and waiving the white flag....Also even after the 4-0 Torres and a few other Spain players were in total pressure mode even as far as our penalty area. I know Cassillas told the ref to end the game saying"ref respect the opponent" but I thought the full all out pressure by their field players was a bit low. Maybe I'm wrong thats why I wanted to see how you guys felt about it.

We've had this discussion before. Fair play. Plus Torres was trying to win the golden boot. All perfectly fine with me.

If I am on the losing end of a 4-0 match, the one thing that I would find most insulting of all is if my opponent took the foot off the gas. You are scheduled to play for 90 minutes, you play the full 90 as if you're life depended on it.

:D

For once someone who shares my view on this. What does it matter how many goals you score? If you're better, you're better, you don't have to be polite, you can be polite in the interview after the match ends.

I see your point and understand your argument.

Veratti should play more like Xavi/young Pirlo and move forward more. DDR is the perfect anchor for 2014.
yes but Veratti needs to be on Juve or a major team to get big game experience to be ready for the WC.... He's not learning how to play under real pressure on Pescara... We need to sign him now for this year, forget leaving him there for 1 year! Also, being around Pirlo and learning from him would be invaluable! I have a good feeling about the kid but we can't just waste him at Pescara.
