Berardi as AM, though not a playmaker as such, can still be a source of creativity and goals, with Pogba and Verratti also providing an attacking threat. Quite a fluid and dynamic midfield

Veratti would be amazing, but I think he will cost 70-80 mio and thats not going to happen.
Berardi would not work as an AM. He does not have the first touch to play bereden the lines. Hes best spot is inside forward. I know that a lot of people rate Berardi but I never really been impressed when I see him play. He is definetly not ready to be a starter for a club like Juve.

Admittedly I haven't seen him much either, and I don't see him as an AM either but people seem to classify him as one. I wonder how we'd use him then, since Maxx doesn't often use wing based formations

Well Max should learn how to use some $#@!ing wingers then, no?
Agreed. He could start by giving Cuadrado a starting spot. At this moment in time I think that Cuadrado would be more usefull than Berardi as a starter for Juve. Especielly in European games.

So, we try to look for targets who are perhaps utopian, to go looking for players who aren’t approachable for many reasons, maybe because they earn too much or cost too much, maybe because they’re happy in their current team.
“I’m not going to name them, because we’re just coming out of this Draxler soap opera, and that will make it even harder.
“We look for youth, while always looking for a major signing. If we don’t get one in a certain year, then he’ll come a year later.”

Who is Beppe talking about, that we are waiting a year on?
Gundogan i suspect, we bidded and rejected for unknown reasons, a year from now he would have only one year left in his contract

I would prefer AM organizing the play, rather than verratti doing that from deep. Much rather good-passing, Ball-winning and b2b midfielders than deep-lying playmakers
I dont think 1 player as a playmaker is enough
even on our great years of 96-98 we had several playmakers
Di Livio was kind of a playmaker
Zidane was a playmaker
DP was a playmaker

later we had Camoranesi and Nedved although I dont really think Nedved should be considered as a playmaker as he was a different kind of player

Camo was just a source of speed and dribbling.
And Di Livio never was a pm. It's just insane to tell this.
Maybe Deschamps, but it's so-so.

And now we'll have Dybala and Hernanes. And also Pogba and Pereyra/Cuadrado (when on field) for some unpredicted moves - it's ok I think.

Someone tell me what Pogba's value is ATM. Are we talking 60-70m or are we looking at one of the most expensive players of all time and upwards of 100m?

Personally, and without much evidence other than taking into consideration recent sales like De Bruyne, Vidal, Dyabala etc, I wouldnt take anything less than 100m. Maybe even more so now that we have lost Vidal, therefor increasing his value to us even more. It might even be that Pogbas value has increased because of the sale of Vidal, even if the Vidal fee wasn't what we had all hoped it would be.

If anything the market just took another horror turn after some late deals for youngsters got in to silly money category. At this point it's World record price range. Anything less would leave us worse off tbh.
