In name and profile, yes. In efficacy, and impact, it was debatable. Vidal has been one of the single most focal points of the team in the last four years other than Pirlo. Zidane was never that. He was so much more for his national team, but he never impacted Juve in the same manner, and it could be for the fact that he had a David's and Descahmps next to him, with a magical Del Piero.

I would have accepted 80 mill for pogba , LONG before a 35 mil Vidal sale, and i recon the management should do the same.


Pogba over the course of an entire season, has yet to be as good as pirlo the first 2 seasons, vidal the first 3 seasons, and Marchisio last season.

the years with zidane, Juventus was the top team. The big team nobody wanted to play against. 2 consecutive finals with zidane, and a miracle elimination in the semifinals in the third.

Never has a Juventus team after zidane been so potent in europe. Capello's 2005/2006 juventus could have with all that talent, but somehow underperformed quite alot in europe.

Agree with your every comment, but by the time zizou was sold, he showed more then just potential, having a WC, and ballon dor under his belt

If we are talking about who were better players, then certainly Baggio and Zidane were better than Arturo.

But if we are talking about importance to the club at the time they were sold.

Baggio had just come off an injury plagued season and the club were looking for a reason to sell him. Offering him a contract at half of what he was making was the nail in the coffin


Zidane already had one eye on the Bernabeau the season that he was sold.


Vidal has more relevance and importance to this club right now than when the aforementioned legends left Juve.
