- Vidal is responsible for Lazio 1st goal although attacker was free and 4 defenders were on the box + goalkeeper. He should have contested the cross and then head it out of the box.
- It was his job to make the tie, no congrats to him.
- Lazio's second goal was also his fault, what a lazy guy he knows we depend on him closing every range.
- The midget failing was due to Vidal not taking the ball and tying the match again.

I blame Vidal for the loss, this guy is a disgrace as a DM, so limited!

If you're going to put blame on Vidal for a goal we conceded, at least blame him for the second goal, not the first.
What a crock of fucking bullshit. Giac-cack-erini should mark the player who makes the run into the box. He is at fault for the goal.
What part about "not preventing the cross" do you not understand? It's so simple! De Ceglie was blamed for not preventing the cross for Genoa's equalizer, but Vidal is not to be blamed for not preventing that cross? What bullshit!

You understand that the position the cross for Genoa's goal came from was considerably more dangerous than where Ledesma's ball for Lazio's goal came from?

There is nothing as more or less dangerous. Every instance where the opponents are near our penalty area is dangerous. Complacency regarding the degree of danger will lead to such goals. We cannot give our opponents even an inch of space. Vidal gave away too much there.

I'd hate to play for a team coached by you.

Players would die from exhaustion with that expectation of pressing.

Ledesma wasn't even close to Juve's box.

Looking at the goal again, Ledesma was about forty yards out.

I'm also not convinced Vidal moving out faster would have made a difference because he was quite a long way from him in the first place because he was -entirely appropriately - covering Mauri, who was hovering just in front of Juve defence.

Lazio didn't press that much.

They were far more interested in keeping their shape.

Juve had plenty of unchallenged possession ~40 yards from Lazio's goal, but Juve players weren't moving well enough off the ball to provide the options for the player with time and space to play a telling pass.

What is it with your apologetics? Are you seriously unconcerned that we failed to prevent a cross? A cross that led to a goal? That the player closest to ledesma didn't even bother closing him down quick enough? Jeez!

I don't give a toss if the midfield allows someone to chip a straight ball forward into the box, because I don't consider it something that should be remotely difficult for a defence to deal with.

Crosses from wide areas are a different matter because they can be very difficult to deal with.

He did fuck up on the second goal but he's a very good player who is essential to our play.

The same cannot be said about scrubs like Cackerini, who for some unclear reason is your idol.
His essentiality does not absolve him from mistakes. The fact is that someone should've prevented that cross, Vidal was closest to Ledesma, so he has to take the blame.

And no, Giaccherini is not my idol. I admired him for some of his achievements. But I don't shy away from criticising him when he's at fault.
