Juve lost 5 times 02/03 CL league season... barring the home win against Madrid Juve were hardly convincing throughout the tournament. Juve also gifted Madrid a CL win in 01/02 because of that transfer and the reason why they are such a popular club with such a high revenue. Madrid's revenue was lower than Juve's before that transfer and since then they earned more than €2b more than Juve. it was a terrible transfer for Juve.
