The beauty of our team is that we win because of our team's overall dominance and our diverse scoring. If someone gets hurt we just plug someone in and continue. We are not dependent on one striker.

Selling Vidal for Higuain is laughable to me. Vidal is essential in contributing to our team's overall dominance of the games we play. It's much safer IMO to create a team that simply outplays its opponent game in and game out instead of one that looks to supply their great striker and pray.

Higuain I feel is also a luxury not a necessity. I do agree that we need a striker to be truly great. But we just need someone who puts the ball in the net, we don't need the best of the best. It would be nice but not at the expense of Vidal who is the heart of our team.

Vidal is too unique. And the important and fortunate thing is that he has the attitude and spirit to match his talent.
Bravo my friend. Bravo

We sold Zidane, the best player of his generation and possibly all time, so it's not beyond reason or possibility that we might be tempted to sell the likes Marchisio or Vidal, great players in their own right, but definitely no Zidanes.

However, having said that, it was Zidane who wanted to leave, so unless we are forced to sell (due to a specific player's request/demand) I don't see it happening.

Now, was it really necessary to write all that jibberish beforehand? :p

Doesn't matter. He's part of our DNA. A true bandiera who shouldn't be for sale at any price. A player who even at age 27 has spent 20 years at the club.

Perhaps there were better strikers in the world several times than DP during il capitano's career, but never would we even consider selling him.

Marchisio is a world class midfielder and he loves the club. That combination is priceless.

even setting aside the emotional attachment, these players make ten times more for the club in terms of marketing, shirt sales, image rights etc etc.

simply isn't good business.

The "selling Marchisio" talk is as laughable as "benching Marchisio" talk. First in 2011 people here expected Vidal to bench him, then in 2012 it was Asamoah, this year it's Pogba...
