to the people here who have seen him, is he a siutable melo replacement?
He is an allround jack of trades kind of player, so no, not like Melo, we would prolly need a more pure DM (with passing skills before someone says anything, like Toulalan) to replace Melo, he isnt that keen on covering ground. That is if we would play 2 man midfield with Pirlo as the other. Vidal can do different roles, but for us would prolly be best given free reigns to wreck havoc in a 3 man midfield.

I don't think we can afford to sign two more CMs plus all the other necessary signings. Vidal and Diarra would be faptastic though.

Well, Conte seems to prefer playing the formations he did at Bari and Siena. That seems to exclude the 433. How would Vidal work in a 424/442. I doubt he'd play next to Pirlo. That would have to be Lass in that formation. So what does that mean for Vidal acquisition now?

Is there possibility that Melo stays if we get another midfielder (Lass/Vidal/Inler...)? Has Conte said anything about his plans with Melo anyway?

Milan also chasing Vidal, made an offer, according to my source, 10mil Euro, 5mil to lo.
For 15mil Euro, he'll be allowed to leave.
