This is a great point and it makes sense for both teams. They bought Icardi last summer just as we did with Arthur. Icardi does have a year shorter contract though. If they need a midfielder and like syphilis this could make a ton of sense for both.

Of course if offers and swaps for better players are available then by all means do it but just remember we cant offload 3 or 4 midfielders and replace them all in summer...I think we need to give him more of a chance.

Yep, I think people need to temper their expectations for this transfer window. I doubt we have much money to spend on transfer fees and wages unless we somehow manage to sell some big earners.
