People close to Arthur inform me that his return to the field was positive, the sensations were very good. He felt no pain, the injury that kept him away from the pitch is a little more distant. He will be able to aim for a starting shirt against Porto. [@_Morik92_]

Decent game but his passing is incredibly frustrating.

Far too limited with the ball, I can't work out whether he just doesn't see passes or doesn't have the confidence/ability to make them.

Pathetic excuse of a midfielder. What I love the most is him pretending like he's gonna pass it long, ofc passes it to the player closest to him and starts to 'apologize' to the guy making a run in space like there was ever any chance he was gonna risk ruining his precious pass %.

He is so limited, and yet still clearly the best mid we have.

What does that say about the rest of them...

Our entire midfield is limited. Dreadful recruitment policy over the past few seasons and it has cost us.

I wouldn't say he is clearly the best we have. He is definitely the best at keeping possession no doubt about it but lacks in other areas. Rabiot has the best engine and strength but can't pass well either and doesn't control the game. Bentancur is more all rounder but too slack with the ball. We lack a midfielder who can pick a pass whilst controlling the game.

I think it's a confidence thing. But he's improved so much since season started and is clearly our most important mid

Hopefully just confidence as he does bring some good qualities but having a centre mid that can't pick a pass is not going to work. He certainly didn't show much of a passing ability at Barca either, so been a long issue.

I thought he did a lot of good today but the inability to make effective passes and not choosing good options that are available is really disappointing.
