Depends how you view the transfer. If you think of him relative to Depay who can play up front or off Vlahovic then yes he is a let down. But if you see him as a Vlahovic back up and he is a 2m loan with option to buy at 8m on a far more reasonable salary compared to Depay then its not such a bad deal. For the money he is a decent vice Vlahovic. Don't think a front 2 with Vlahovic would work but I don't think that would be his role.

We're getting a player who is deemed surplus to requirements @ Marseille FFS - Marseille! He's not a City, Barca, Bayern, Real or even Cuntited reject. He's a Marseille sub who the coach doesn't wish to utilize. Even a 2nd tier team from Uber Eats Ligue shows more ambition than we do.

This motherfucker, who will probably be injured more often than not, will come here on a loan + option, but..... I'm quite sure it's going to be an obligation if certain conditions are met. Another mistake waiting to happen - just like that Kean transfer last summer. Fuck this club for real.

No he is not fine, come on! Why have they been washing time on Milik instead of other more crucial positions? It is this that makes no sense, not the deal itself.
Jezus, it's not that hard. There is no money to buy starters unless we sell someone else in their position first which we tried but won't happen (Rabiot, Alex Sandro, Arthur, Rugani). Maybe, just maybe Zakaria.

Long term planning starts with financial stability.

Like I said, if Milcuck and Parepiss become obligations if certain conditions are triggered, I'd love to see how the narrative changes.

Financial stability also comes from smart decisions. You can't plan LT if you make stupid decisions. Also, if you want financial stability, you need to win, or at least offer an attractive product - fortunately for us, we seem to be doing both incredibly well :D :b81:

Thought the milik ship had sailed...not overly excited about it. But if he is back up only to vlahovic it isn't the worst thing in the world. Although clearly other positions needed investing in.

But we are about to see more lopsided 442 with the dealt duo of Dusan - Milik.

At least get Dyche in as attacking coach to teach them some direct football tactics tips and tricks.

I agree … but why Paredes then? He won’t be cheap.

Oh that's fine, we will just keep loan the fuck out of him like we did with Morty.

How about a random gamble on a talented youngster out there playing in a shitter league than ours with good stats.
We have a random youngster - Kaio.

And you cannot have a youngster backing up a 22 year old 90m striker, young players need to play, not sit on the bench an entire season.

And financial stability comes from buying mediocre players, right?

It comes from not buying expensive starters when you have another overpaid body in the same spot.

Do you think our ST position is occupied well or bad with Vlahovic and Milik?

Lmao ppl defending this transfer - he will be our first sub for the central attack role, meaning he should play a lot. Even for polish journos its hard to believe this transfer will happen. Inter as subs has Dzeko and Correa, both are much better players than him and even they would jump on any occasion to improve on Correa if they wouldnt be stuck with him. Guess that shows the ambition of this club. We are officially replacing Roma as TOP6 club in league.
