Ribery was the player that decided the game. He put robben alone for the keeper. Then dortmund defence helped a bit by acting like a bunch of clowns so mazd could just tap in.

Second bayeren goal ? all ribery. great controll and holding off defender, perfect backheel in robben's path, who basically had just the keeper to beat

It is said that during the Middle Ages and the many wars and anguish surrounding that period, God came to Earth to help the poor. Seeing all the illness, anger, ugliness, and desperation, God decided to channel as much of this negative energy as possible down towards Hell. He gathered all the French people into the feet of the Alps so he could somehow summon all these negative and ugly attributes at once.

He was able to do this in the form of an unsightly and sickly looking liquid. There a big well laid untouched for centuries. Seeing it, God decided to dump this river of horrid liquid in there, thinking it would be the quickest route to Hell. But oh, how wrong he was. In this well, a creature lived. Happy as a clam, with goals of getting fat, gaining gram by gram, this creature was a rat!

This rat had a marvelous house set up in the well, where all the small critters and berries that happened to fall there were quickly devoured and immensely enjoyed. But this different liquid was like nothing the rat had ever seen before and was never meant to come in touch with any warm blooded creature for it carried human DNA, a concept then unthought of, even by God. And not only did this liquid carry human DNA, it also carried all the bad and terrible virtues of humans.

The larger than average rat was submersed in the liquid of terror, something gruesome occurring in the process. The rat started to turn into a half human hybrid that possessed all of the troubling attributes God wanted to banish from the face of Earth. This rat, or creature rather, was now incredibly strong with all the hatred it had absorbed, incredibly fast with all the fear, most detestable with all the envy, and incredibly ugly with all the terror. People were terrified of this creature, too terrified to even utter its name in their books, songs, and poems. After a while, memories of the rat creature hybrid started to die out.

This was because it would live a dirty and hidden life underground, only coming up to feast on innocent people during the night. After some time, civilizations moved forward due to innovations in science and industry, one of which was the sewer. The creature had a hard time dealing with sewers. Due to its lack of intelligence and brain which hadn't developed in contrast with its body and teeth, the creature was still dumb as a bag of rocks. The sewers with their many diversions and channels would confuse it, leading to the creature walking around in circles or in random patterns for days at a time. This meant it wasn't eating nearly as much as it needed to sustain itself and would be tired all the time.

One special day, a French couple walking to the boulevard for some ice-cream heard a whimper coming from below the street, followed by a swift shadow. The madam, having just lost the child she was pregnant with, had her motherly instincts kick in and urge her to follow the whimper. A whimper possibly coming from a neglected child of homeless parents. Did they even care for it? Would they miss their child if it was gone? Why did they deserve such a gift from above when they couldn't care for it, but she, a caring mother who would provide a kid with the education and love needed to succeed in life couldn't have one of her own?

Having followed the whimper, the couple came across the deformed creature, now worse for wear considering it hadn't eaten in weeks! Shockingly skinny, with it's hair falling off, the teeth ground down from trying to eat the walls of the sewer to get at least some sort of nutrition, the creature was too weak to fight them. The madam, gasping for air, rushed to what she believed to be a poor creature and urged her husband to help her carry it out from those disgusting sewers, not fit for a little angel such as this. Reluctantly the husband agreed.

The creature was now adopted by the two caring people. It was finally out in the open. The ugliness increasing even more, its horrible manners and disgusting personality increasing exponentially day by day. But no matter what, the mother loved it like it was her own child. After all, she had now invested in an education for the "child". They had gotten lucky, is what she used to tell her husband. The "baby boy" was far beyond it's age-mates in athletic ability and strength. Little did she know this wasn't any ordinary child, it was a mouse-human hybrid demon, alive for thousands of years.

The "child" never grew out of his ugly looks, or in size for that matter. But he was still strong and fast enough to compete with the strongest humans on the face of the Earth. The creature's envy was growing. It now wanted a different kind of power, a kind of power achieved by what humans called money. The only way for something so unintelligent and ugly to obtain money, was partaking in the sport of football. The creature is now playing this sport while trying to injure anyone coming in its path. This creature...is known as Ribery!

I'd bet Ribery could at least hook up with a decent aged woman for himself, even with his looks.

Something Andy couldn't do to save his life, but probably it's not entirely his fault.

My opinion of Robben remains the same evidently, as i'm not sweeped away by the emotion of the moment.

Robben is a player with a handfull of good games over the year. Mostly he's out of form or injured.
When he is in form, he's really good, but chokes somewhat at the final stage.

Good player, for teams that allready have an excellent starting 11, and want an ace that can add something, when his time is right.

However, we are not that team. we cant afford a Robben thats not good or worse, injured, allmost all year.

Today, at his first final, he was again mostly wastefull, untill he finally got that goal ribery so lovely paved out for him. a well taken finish. Congratulations on Robben, who finally managed to have one of those handfull of good games, on the exact right moment, and didnt choke at his third open chance.

As for Juventus, no Robben please. I want a player who is good and not made of glass, for the entire year. Not just a handfull of games.

this is the scouting group no talk about robben to juve at all.

robben proofed himself many times as a great player. and such a great player deserved the win the cl and I am happy for him specially since he was written as done etc and fought his way back into the team and was important for the cl.

and he reject juve last year so would be weird if we would have gone after him specially we don't play with wingers.

I remember watching that, he scored in every round of the knockout stages that year.
i remember that tie

manchester was absolutely domminating bayern in the first half, went 3-0, then decided to stop footballing, and got nailed awkwardly on the counter
then this one in a lifetime goal came.

i wasnt mad, as i preferred bayern to go trough, but they were so lucky that game, as inter showed by humiliating them in the final
