Tach is a good role player: destroyer in the midfield. However, at the end of day, he is simply a destroyer who can only perform limited role.

Anyway here are other players who I feel does better job than what Tach specialize in:

Rino
Viera
Makelele
Davids
Keane
Gerrard

This is not to mention that there are many other players who can perform similar role to Tach: Gianichedda, Ambrosini, Jeremies, Zanetti, and co.

The matter of fact is there are many other players out there who can perform similar role hence he is far from being indispensible. On the other hand, there is no need to sell him for the sake of it.
What is clear, IMO, though is that as the way they stand I do not see Tachinardi as an ideal player for our team.
The major deference between this year and last year, I believe is that Tachinardi is missing Davids in the midfield.
Beside lacking passing ability, on other major limitation in Tach's game, IMO, is lack of atheleticism, an ability to cover grounds in the way Davids and Rino do. Nor does he have playing intelligence of some of the great registra in the game a la Redondo, Deschamp, and Albertini.
So as it stands we do not have a natural playmaker, nor dynamic midfielder such as Davids means that Tach ability to perform his role is limited and his weaknesses are exposed. Of course, if we add likes of Aimar or some other midfielder who can cover Tach weakness then I see a place for him in the team. However, I never seen a GM who signs player to simply utlilize his role player. At the end of day, I think future of Tach depends on the strategy of Moggi or Lippi or other coaches who may replace Lippi.
If he doesnt fit into our overall plan, then the wise thing is to sell him. There is nothing worse than disgruntled senior player in the team.

Tacchi is a great player ... He is not like Ambrosini and Jeremies :yuck:
If he is not in his best form like all of the other players, it is not fare we say that he doesn't deserve to play for juve...
Next year we should try to get Pederetti to strength our midfield not to replace one of our best midfielders ... remember Real's game last season!

I think he misses more on-form Nedved and even more Zidane. He was great when his job was as simple as tackle - pass the ball to ZZ.

Losing Edgar Davids and bringing in Stephen Appiah has cause some problems in our middfield playing, but he and Tachi will finally understand each other and make a strong DM.

The point is that being Conte a mummy and Tudor a shure-injured player, we need to bring and develop one younger italian player(sculli, gasbarroni, blasi) as a third choice DM.

But probably is most needed an really good offensive midfielder able to construct plays, as was Zizou when he was in Juve.
It is true that Nedved is not a natural playmaker, but Lippi forced the team play systems to work with pavel as "distributor of the ball" ( with good success, at least last year), but the natural role of Nedved was the one he played in Lazio.Veròn was the playmaker.
Camoranesi sometimes takes the role of playmaker and when inspired, he is good creating danger and options to score, but ,honestly, doesnt fullfill the shoes of Zizou.

then, we need a defensive middfielder..but also a good offensive midfielder

o.........

Sculli and Gasbarroni are certainly not DM

Sculli is a forward
Gasbarroni is an explosive winger, also good technically

Actually I reckon Enzo + Appiah or Enzo + Tacchi will be good enough if the whole team works well
But of course we need a playmaker ! However, Pizarro is not enough to fill that role in a big team like Juve and it seems that Juve is not used to buy Brazilian players so although i would welcome Diego but i's unlikely for him to come

Riquelme will be a good choice...He has great technique and is tall

Common...............who is Rino? Rincon?

Makalele is far more limited player than Tach....in every way you look....
Vieira and Davids are better......
Keane and Gerrard.....even worse than Tach.....btw....Hamman is the one that does Tach job in L´pool. Keane is too old to be a comparision.

barkuss, I agree that Hamman is the one who does the holding role in Liverpool, but I dont think he is as good a player he was three years ago. And beside, I think Gerrard is not bad breaking up defence himself. The matter of fact is, he has ability to go forward in addition to being able to defend.

As for Makelele, he is in the list of players who I feel is better than Tach at breaking up opponents attack and providing protection to the defence.
But yeah, Makelele is one of those limited specialist.:).

Anyway, sadly I do not agree that Tach is a great player. He had a great last year no doubt, but his performance hasnt been too impressive this year especially in the big matches when he was suppose to step up being a veteran, and also he was clue-less 3years ago making adjustment to Zizou-less team.

This suggest to me that Tach is 1) relatively slow at adapting 2) has limitation in his game which is exposed when great players are not around him. Great players are the one who constitute and able to exert their influence on the team, and Tach doesnt seem to be capable of doing that IMO. Good role player, yes but he is certainly far away from being great player.
