Last season he had no CL to worry about. While the other contenders played in europe either in CL or EL level, more games.
I actually think their squad isnt big enough for CL. So Conte keeps playing 3 man defense, but he lost Terry and he loaned Zouma out and only bought Rudiger. So they have Rudiger, David Luiz and Cahill. And Cahill already got suspended.
Also then the gamble between Morata and Batsyouy. Need experienced backup option really.
Alonso and Moses arent your elite fullbacks.
Without Costa they lose that bully side, that side which would precisely make or break getting the 3p even in a bad weekend in terms of performance.
