But they are not defensive minded players at all. Lichtsteiner as a right back (in a back 4, to be clear) is always getting forward, and in our system he is the player constantly charging beyond his area of the pitch. Asamoah is essentially a CM who has more attacking focus than a typical box-to-box player, as we see with Ghana (where he's #10).

Your point is that they are not wingers or at least attacking LWBs, like Lulic is. Prandelli's point is that playing authentic defensive fullbacks as wing backs basically creates a back 5. Tactically we often defend with a back 5, but there is nothing wrong with that, as both players are mobile and energetic. For the most part in games they are in regular wing back positions.

Conte did this the previous time, he was about to extend his contract and its not only Marotta,
Marotta acts as instructed by a certain part of the board.This is the only reason he is still tolerated after all those catastrophic failures.
Conte can achieve what he needs, not only by having Marotta replaced, but also by stopping that part of the board from making Marotta act like that!
This is why Conte took it to the press.

We knew that Conte is hothead and would never be completely surrender to this part of the board's wills.
We knew that he wont tolerate strategies that will undermine the potential of our performance.
The ones who have imposed "spectacle over competitiveness", ItalJuve project over performance" and "quantity over quality"
now feel some sort of pressure from Conte, because they will have to publically admit that they want to choose those over success
and once the fans and players got their bit of a taste of them, they wont back down so easily...


Personally i believe that other Juve legends should step up and defend Conte, swaying the pubic opionion to his cause, so that the board let him do as he sees fit, sit back and simply enjoy the success!

Marotta has done a terrible job with them, we have been wasting money like no other, this is not the place to discuss this, you will see trillions of examples in the transfer and Marotta's threads,

This is about Conte and Conte wants to see things handled differently, thats all what he asks, he never have asked for hundred of millions, thats insulting him and what he has done for this club and is still doing!

No really, I'm not. I've been one of the more vocal advocates of how our mentality holds this team together, but we will still be favourites. You can't expect this team to go from 100 points to a jibbering wreck, but there is always a chance for a team to have a disastrous season.

At some point we aren't going to win the league, this isn't the SPL, but if we are talking about losing our coach (and not this apparently inevitable mass exodus that will follow it) then we are still the team to beat. We might play next season with Conte and not win the league, but we can't find out both scenarios.

No, I'm not saying this team will suddenly forget how to play football. But it would be fair to point out that they may find it very hard to find the motivation within themselves. No matter how easy or hard the serie a has been to win the last three years, the fact is, this team has played with concentration, intensity and discipline to make winning a habit. It's not human to expect them to maintain the same levels. So Conte is absolutely right, this unit is done wi their cycle, and there needs to be some chopping and changing done to bring in some enthusiasm from the coach's and team's perspective.

Even if Conte were to remain, I don't see the team win the title, because it'll be hard for him to find the same intensity, as things can get mechanical. But I know that he'll clearly prioritise Europe because that quest needs a big push. If we were to get a new coach, I think they'll struggle on two levels a) not being as competent as Antonio to begin with b) forming a connect with the players, whether thru a new formation or not, is irrelevant. The team will struggle domestically for reasons other than just the football they will play.

If you really believe we can win the CL with a forwardline of Tevez and Llorente along with the wide threat coming from a fucking CM and a fullback who has mediocre technical skills,then you are reaching Zach level delusion here.We are probably the slowest team in europe,we plain suck at counter-attacking which is an important aspect if we need to fare well in europe.

Totally agree with this... but at the same time staying with Conte is like goign headfirst against a concrete wall and hoping to take it down (europe).
