no you are the deluded one, you honestly telling me if Conte were to be replaced by some clown like mancini or montella Juve would have the same success as now if not better? fucking get real. the only blind one is idiots like you who fail to appreciate that Conte's possible departure will have a major impact not just on the pitch but off it too but i don't expect a blind fool like you to understand things in the bigger picture.
well if that does happen its a sign of a pussy organisation...which it is not...Conte got u drinking that kool aid a la Jim Jones

Cricket

I still have no idea how Cricket makes any money at all

Flicking through Sky Sports or on SSN I see really major games of Cricket and there's like 200 fans between the two teams.

Even worse at club level, and only a handful of countries take it seriously

Yeah, if Cricket is getting a 400M investment, we deserve at least 1/4 of that. Although in the ideal world cricket deserves no Exor investment at all.
you probably look at that county cricket or natwest bullshit

IPL is where its at...very entertaining actually

We should all be supporting the continuation of the Conte project and setting this team up for more success in Europe. As it stands, he exceeded expectations with a QF the first year in CL and failed this year. Round of 16 is where our squads current level should be guaranteed every year, with a good transfer market we could move that line to minimum QF. At the moment we have a team that is worthy of top 16 in Europe, likely around number 10-12 in terms of strength on paper. I'd like us to invest 60-80 mil this window and jump ourselves to a top 5-6 team. That way, we can expect QFs minimum and some years better, without being delusional. The board should support this.

Football teams don't make profits. At best, they break even (without some very creative accounting). Unless we want to become like Arsenal and not win anything for 10 more years... Some good investment that would all but guarantee a QF in the CL each year, would help us get to that break even point each year. And Conte so far has shown he is the right man to lead us. If we invest and he fails in Europe next year, then you move on, but so far he has shown nothing that would suggest that he will. A one year European blip is nothing. I'm pretty sure he is as hard on himself for the European failure as anyone else is, besides idiots calling for his head. He's trying to rally support for improving the squad and giving it more tactical flexibility and regardless of method, (this can be debated, although suggesting it is blackmail is silly) that should be supported.
 great post

Fan protests are always just token gestures.
not in a country like italy, shit persists there, just look at our rivalry with fiorentina

youd have to be a pinche moron to not think conte is the MAIN reason for our success, the very reason we are talking CL is all him. Id love to see any of these pinche morons who talk smack about him having predicted he did what he did in his first season here. The sad reality is most people here are some bitch fans who have neither gratitude nor capacity to understand this weon's importance.

not a pussy organisation? are you sure about that? where were the organisation that supposedly threatened the figc over calciopoli? instead sat down to moratti's table of peace and sucked their cock

where were they to fight Conte's case over the match fixing scandal? they gave him lawyers who advised Conte to plead guilty and beg for a plea bargain!

finally they don't even have enough balls to put 3 stars on their shirt, never mind 2 seasons ago but even now the 'organisation' disagrees with putting 3 on

actions speak louder than words, all i'm hearing is how there is a project in place blah blah, well that project means nothing if the board themselves don't even believe in the objectives set!

Like I said a while ago, Conte has been great for us. And I'd love him to continue. That is my first choice.

But some people are suggesting that Contes departure would mean we'd be back to an upper mid-table Serie A team. And that's pure and utter shit.

I have it on good authority that we won a couple of trophies here and there without Conte on the touchline.

yet Conte still trained the team on a day to day basis, had the team prepared before the game, gave his orders to his assistants.

I was talking about the multitude of trophies we won before we even knew Conte was a coach

Basically, Juventus without Conte doesn't turn into Chievo Verona.
unless we already have a world class manager in place then the management would be idiots to let Conte go, the alternatives aren't going to win us trophies or carry this 'project' any further

:agree:

I'm actually really worried about this situation, and there wouldn't be another resolution that would left me happy than Conte staying here. However I've decided not to stress myself and watch the meltdown

Well, yeah. If we're lining up somebody who is bad at their job then we're going to regress. And Conte staying is the BEST scenario. But if he's making unrealistic demands (Possible) or he crosses the line and pisses off Agnelli with his media-obsessed rants (Fairly likely) then he may be gone this Summer. And we should prepare accordingly.

I just hope that we do invest properly, with a little help from Exor. Otherwise we'll need a few miracles to keep our team as good as it is with a shoe string budget. Let alone improve it.

yes that would be the correct approach when dealing with matters beyond ones control, however the record ought to be set straight with the haters and the ingrates
