You're right ... almost. The problem doesn't lie in Serie A performances as much but in CL. People still have bitter taste in their mouths because of pathetic displays and so early exit. When they see the team didn't learn a thing out of it again they begin to complain/go mad/full retard.

The complaining is not coming out of their asses in most cases. If a 10 man Parma closes down Juve at JS people get mad because they don't even want to imagine what if it was Barca or Bayern. Heck even Gala and Copenhagen caused so much problems so you never know.
But we have never treated a Bayern or Barca or Madrid or Chelsea as a 10 man Parma. Look at the results against Madrid. If not for the red card that was highly debatable, it would likely have been two draws. Chelsea last year we drew away, and crushed at home. Bayern was the only side that has dismantled us in three years, and they dismantled everyone last year. We step our game up for most of our tough opponents. It's against the minnows in Europe that we seem to have a mental block when we play.

But bringing up Gala is silly. The second game is a total outlier as it was played in unplayable conditions. The first game we have poor finishing to blame for not winning 6-2. We absolutely dominated that game, playing the attractive football you all obsess over. We pressed them all over the pitch and created a huge number of chances. We just ran into poor luck finishing, and one nightmarish defensive lapse by Bonucci immediately after our second goal. That doesn't happen, all the rest is history. It did, so no sense going over it now again. But don't act like we did not 100 percent outplay Gala in Turin. I mean we outshot them 26 to 7 and out possessed them 60 to 40. 11 corners to 0. That is the demolition you all want, only we failed to score.

This. This is what we should be discussing. Not all the vitriol against the team we all supposedly love. Cheers to you for bringing something relevant and interesting to discuss into this thread.

I'd like to see Asa get some rest from the intensity required at WB and perhaps some time in midfield in Serie A. We have a few minnows coming up which would be a perfect time to rest midfield starters and play Padoin, Isla, Asamoah there. Is Peluso still out, or has he recovered? If we could start Peluso at LWB in at least 2 or 3 of our remaining Serie A fixtures and allow Asa rest or a less energy sapping role in midfield, that would be swell.

Marchisio seems fairly fresh, so I think he could play quite a bit over the next stretch of matches. Basically every match. We also have a couple youngsters that we could theoretically call up in league once the scudetto is hopefully clinched in another two rounds. We could easily play a couple primavera midfielders to spell Pirlo and Pogba for the Europa league matches as early as the match after Udinese if we win and Roma drops any points at all.

Does anyone know the status of Barzagli? I'd like to see Ogbonna play in Serie A after this weekend for the rest of the year.
:sergio: where have you been this past year? we discussed such thing only to found out that conte never seem to thinker anymore even when things didn't work... and keep doing the same shit again.

for example as I've said it more than once, conte moaned about the lack of wingers in the squad that prevent him to play 4-3-3 anymore, yet to this day I don't see what's made pepe was a better winger than asamoah or isla, both the later player can be tried as wingers if conte had the balls to do it, and IMO isla is simply not wingback material because of his defensive liabilities but there's a chance that he can shine as rwf... don't fucking tell me such experiment can't be done or a totally stupid idea.

this... even it can be said that lyon caused us troubles, and troubles here don't always mean it threaten you with massive amounts of chances but when a supposedly top team can't seem to be clearly able to break down a team 2 or 3 level below it, surely it constitutes as troubles!

and there also the fact that we did played alright against lyon at the start, only to seriously throttling down after 15 minutes :sergio: that is just unacceptable no matter how you see it, fatigues is a seriously lame excuse for it, we were playing at home against a team 2 or 3 level below us lol.

Yeah, imagine if juventus treat a Barcelona or bayern game as if it was parma
yeah? that isn't an answer but an insult to anyone here with enough intelligence said by the guy who claimed he never insulted.

yet you said that drawventus who outshot everyone with 30 shots every games was INFERIOR to this uglyventus...

imagine if that drawventus actually scored half of the chances, we would've won treble, wouldn't it? isn't that is what implied with such a reply?

It's that pathetic overreaction to every single match where we don't destroy the opposition. Knee-jerk reactions? Yes. I think we've scored in every match but 3 this season. Gala in the snow (which was obviously an outlier), Napoli in league away while exhausted, and Roma in Coppa away, while playing a reserve squad. We are a very good attacking side in actuality.

People like Linebreak, Napoleonic, Dukac, Vialli, Rakib, Bashir, JCK, etc behaving as though the apocalypse has happened because, god forbid, other sides are competitive in matches with Juve. It seems they have this bizarre idea that Juve should walk over every single opponent we face, because those sides apparently have no desire to play for a result against us, and even if they do, we should walk over them anyways. We've been out-chanced in like 4-5 matches all season. 4-5 matches in over 40. We still occasionally have trouble with profligacy in front of goal. Even teams like Barca, Real, Bayern, ManCity, PSG with their 100-200 million dollar attacks have these problems at times.

I mean, it's seriously disrespectful to our club and players to call our performances disgraceful and pathetic. How is that even allowed? We win against Parma, and we have people like Dukac calling our performance the most disgraceful thing he has ever witnessed because (and apparently this wasn't obviously going to happen) we were wasteful with our chances for the first 15 minutes they were down a man, and they threw the kitchen sink at us for the last 10 minutes of the match in search of a draw. It took a fluke once in a lifetime wonder strike from a mediocre player for them to even get within a goal of us. We dominated the match for 90% of it. But no, because we defended our lead for the last 10-15 minutes, it was disgraceful.

Same with Lyon yesterday. They had not a single chance in the second half worth mentioning. We had 4-5 great chances, and likely should have scored 2-3. We won regardless and won by two goals on aggregate against a side that's whole game plan was to man mark us so tightly in hopes that we would not score, and hope that somehow they'd take advantage of the 1-2 chances they'd possibly get in the match. Lesser teams can win with this style. It happens every year in Europe. We negated it with hard work and skill in both legs. I'd say that is reason to be ecstatic. Apparently I'm wrong. People on the forum were actually angry that our players were celebrating the victory that took us to the semi-final in Europe. People were calling Marchisio useless in the match he scored the goal that sealed our progression to the SFs. They were also calling for Conte's head because apparently, Simeone and Klopp would not have struggled like this (ignoring the fact that Klopp's Dortmund has only 58 points this year and Simeone was knocked out of Europa in round of 32 by Rubin Kazan last year, much more embarrassing a result than any of Conte's in his entire Juventus coaching career).

So many overrated fans. It's pathetic.
Amazing post.

look at 10/11 and people still blame Delneri for poor season
The midfield isn't too bad actually. And in attack, we have the same Quag we use now, as well as Del Piero who was better than at least 3 of the forwards we have now. We still use those CBs today. Only Motta and Grosso are complete shit.

With that squad, 7th was a massive failure.
