The last juventus side to win the CL, was a machine that was all about anti-football. They basically murdered all the creativity out of the opponent, and won twice the duels all over the place.

Tactically, they were just amazing. Not a single team, no matter what talent, managed to thrive against them.

*Using "anti football" here in Rakib's definition. Wich apparently means "to start a game with the intention to completely counter and nullyfy the opponents creativity and gameplan, and work from there"

So by "work from there" means score from a fluke deflection or a free kick by Pirlo?

For How many years he will repeat that phrase "fans should not forget where we came from" ?! Juventus was founded with conte'a arrival or what?! Jeez coaches come and go, true fans last forever , so respect them or resign, of course we are not right always, but we don't deserve this bullshit about where we came from
True. That old gag is Conte's "It's not like we win the Coppa Italia every year".

Its like that peasant Dusac or something

Peasants these days, think the best attacking team is better. What they all forget because they cannot comprehend it, is that teams like juve allways look dirty when trying to make the game. But when we can counter an opponent and their gameplan, then we rise.

Expect fancy valencia and benfica, to suddenly wonder why they are stuck in a boring game in wich they arent really getting their attacking plays togheter.

Yeah, thats us.

Defending deep and counterattacking is not antifootball.

antifootball is when you try to pass the ball between 3 players for most of the time and then try a long ball on top and fail. then win the ball back and pass it back to the midfield and then defence and then goalkeeper.

todays game was literally that. the ball always went to the goalkeeper even from counterattacks and corners. that is awful.

defending deep and counterattacking is a very good style of play which I think suits this juve if and only we had good wingers.

pls don't defending this 352 style of play anymore everyone knows it's an awful style of play.

lyons goal was a fluke in itself, came from a fluffed cross. a goal is a goal, how its scored it doesn't matter
Came from a shocking defensive mistake from Marchisio.

Except the average Lyon were getting some of their attacking plays on and created several danger attacks.

I don't ever recall a time when Juve were renowned for their 'fancy' 'champagne' football they've always been about grit and determination. It makes you wonder how long some people have actually 'supported/followed' Juve.

I don't care what fucking formation we play, how we play, just as long as we get the job done which so far we are. If it means playing this way to win then I'm all for it. playing fancy football never guaranteed anything, only the fickle bunch feel they ought to be entertained

Little objectivity here would be appreciated. We're not that bad as some make it sound, but at the same time it's not ideal and Juve had played some fancy football during the years; I've seen better than this, but worse as well. There are issues, hopefully we resolve these asap and for the next season we'll definitely have to change some things in our team.

Teams allways look to create dangerous attacks, yet score few goals against italian teams.

Having said that, its a fact our defence is half as good without barzagli.
its a well known fact that Italy always has the best defence, but it doesn't mean that the likes of chiellini and pirlo should start our counterattacks. we need some quality to actually start counterattacks and actually look dangerous.

if you don't care about formation why do u argue about when changing it. :facepalm2:
changing it??? when have I ever argued about changing the 3-5-2?? infact that is YOUR argument. my argument is so long we are winning i don't care. and guess what? we are and guess what else? it is with the 3-5-2 if we know how to win best with it then again so be it. I don't care about being wowed by great football, history only cares about who fucking wins at the end of it and so do i

What truth? No one is asking for champagne football. Your problem is that you consider our CB and GK passing between them for 1 minute means killing their attacking play and countering their tactics. That's just pussy football. Embarrassing football. No one is asking Bonucci to dribble past 10 players and shoot from 40m out. I just want to see the team making movements off the ball, the midfield helping out in attack, our wing backs putting in a decent cross in their box. That's just basic football. We lack that from our play. We overdo things because our game plan is not even clear to our players and when it is, it becomes predictable. Boring.

Don't worry. We won't win it.

I hope we play whatever formation secures us the titles. The third scudetto and an EL trophy would be great. People here have been spoiled since Conte took over, apparebtly winnibg isn't enough, you need to play a certain way to get the appreciation of these "fans".
